Excerpt: Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes, from German game developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment, is the sequel to Edna & Harvey: The Breakout. Though a flawed but memorable gem, the original game in the series has paved the way for the intrepid developer to release other more ambitious adventure...
Conclusion: I enjoyed my time with Harvey's New Eyes. The story is a bit strange and twisted, and grows more so as the game progresses, which to me is a big plus for the game, especially considering how generic and clichd most classic adventure game stories are these days.
Excerpt: With an impressive resume of point and click adventure game reviews under my belt, I got the opportunity to review Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes. I started the new game and was instantly impressed with the opening credits.
Summary: I’ve been playing point and click adventure games since around the time the mouse became a common accessory for the home PC. I specifically remember some Hypercard based adventure games which led to me doing my very first database programming attempts at making my own games.
Excerpt: Edna and Harvey are back in Harvey’s New Eyes , though now they are joined by a new main character -- Lilli. The story in this sequel follows shortly after the events in Edna & Harvey: The Breakout . Note: when discussing this story-heavy sequel, mild spoilers are hard to avoid.
Excerpt: Harvey’s New Eyes is one of the best point-and-click adventure games I’ve played, and its dark, twisted story is definitely one you should experience. That is, if accidental mass murders by a child don’t disturb you.
Pros: interesting and dark story, nice graphics, good music
