Summary: There are certain areas in the game where my army will scatter even though I have settings on hold ground that unnerve me. It looks cool but is not as I lose control when some of the team is out of sight. Then some screens are so dark and hard to see I will brighten the screen. I am constantly backing up or putting on the brakes as a result when things get hairy. Plenty of saves keep it from being impossible. I like it better than DSII or its expansion BW.
Summary: I have been hearing about/seeing Dungeon Siege for quite some time and wanted to start at the beginning. So I bought Dungeon Siege (first in series). It is a few years old, 2002 I believe, but a fun game for anyone who likes: typical party based adventuring, going through dungeons, dispatching monsters, helping out local townspeople, gathering goodies and cash! This game has above-average graphics for a game of its time and runs quite smoothly.
Summary: Dungeon Siege isn't meant to be the most complex and interactive RPG; this game was designed to be a fun hack-and-slash adventure. And, for the most part, it succeeds. The graphics, while generally nothing more than eye-candy, are quite impressive, and do help drag you into the game world. At times, I've noticed it's hard to see exactly where you should be going, but a little backtracking and careful inspection will send you back on your way.
Summary: The gameplay is so powerful. Managing your view angle and your proximity regarding the scene, arranging your characters the way you want, hiring new characters during the game, giving them all the weapons and equipment you find, defining the way they have to act regarding the others and the ennemies... everything is easy to setup in a second. I spent hours with this game!!! I just regreat that Dungeon Siege II did not get all the features the first episode has.
Summary: Dungeon Siege is an excellent game , is a little old , I have to say, but basically you will find everything you need to find in a game of this kind. The games takes a lot from diablo, I have to say that basically is a good clone, there are a lot of quest and so on, the map is pretty big and will be nice to play in such a big map in the beginning but it will somewhat get boring after a while.
Pros: a nice diablo clone, well done and with a nice graphic
Cons: multiplayer game can only be done by ip and will not save the state of the world
Excerpt: "...much more. Being a hero in Dungeon Siege certainly isn't easy, it has its good points and bad points. The amazing strength, spells and potions are a bonus but the battling goblins does become rather tiresome. Dungeon Siege is a roleplaying game with an added touch of mystery, magic and meyhem. It is rather like Icewind Dale and Balders Gate in the you are the most powerful and only erson that can save us all and destroy everything evil genre. As ...
Pros: Action Packed, Great Graphics and a whole lot of fun !
Summary: This game provides hours of gameplay in which you battle everything from little dog-like creatures to skeletons to dragons. It starts you off as a farmer and depending on what weapons you use (bows, swords, or spells), you increase in that skill. You can combine the skills even to be, say, a healing mage who fights with a bow. Along the way you pick up companions who work in the same way, and you also recieve quests you can complete.
Summary: Although I'm writing this review more than a year after purchase, Dungeon Siege is still fresh on my mind. The good: -easiest to use and most comfortable interface and in-game camera in ANY RPG I have ever played -storyline is entertaining -diverse, challenging enemies and situations -skill system is simple and doesn't require much planning -graphics are decent, excellent 3d engine -almost no "Loading...
