Summary: Unfortunately, this game was balanced after release in such a way that it is very unfriendly to new players, as well as dull to play. I would recommend avoiding this game as it's a real slog- enemies have tons of health and there are unacceptably harsh difficulty walls. Uninspired and boring.
Summary: Short version: This is not worth buying until they pull their heads out of their posteriors and fix some of the major bugs. Long Version: This removes or rebalances pretty much everything in the original. The changes are a mixed bag in my book. Detail below. + No hacked characters/items.
Summary: I logged 1700 hours in the original DD. This version is crippled in so many ways, i don't know where to start. Don't even get me started writing about all the Playverse bugs. Login errors, game disconnecs etc.
Summary: This game looks like its in early pre-alpha state. Constant server problems, connection problems, terrible menus, half of its features disabled, horrible balance problems. Good things: some anti-hack protection finally. DD1 was a terrible piece of hacking trash. That's pretty much it.
Summary: Do NOT buy this game. This is a complete ripoff, the devs call it a 'definitive' version of the original game. It is NOT, in ANY way, better than the original. They took the mobile port and ported it back. Really? I had respect for the devs of Dungeon Defenders, but this broke me.
Summary: I can definitely see the appeal of this game. It didn't do anything for me when I finally got around to playing it after picking it up on the cheap via a sale. To be fair I'm not a huge fan of other contenders in the RPG tower defense genre so its likely that its just not the type of game for me.
Summary: You want to believe this game is good when everyone tells you it is. You want to. But it has fake depth. While you have the ability to play as many classes, it still feels boring as hell every time. Its not really fun unless you think grinding monsters for xp is fun.
