Test Duke Nukem Forever

Generation NT
25 March 2011

Break it Down
1 December 2010
  • Excerpt: Summary If you can appreciate Duke Nukem Forever for what it is, a game that should have come out 6 years ago, and stop expecting it to compete with modern shooters, you will get some enjoyment out of it, but there are still rough edges everywhere that will make playing it seem like a chore at times.

GAME REVIEW – Duke Nukem Forever (PC)

Alternative Magazine Online
26 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Overall, Duke Nukem Forever is a decidedly average game. It isn’t the unmitigated disaster that some critics claimed upon release and it is certainly more enjoyable now that the dust has settled. However, the crude humour, outdated gameplay mechanics, poor graphics and low production values damage what is at heart a fairly decent shooter. There is fun to be had, but it isn’t exactly abundant and the overall experience is one of disappointment.

Duke Nukem Forever Review

AusGamers
10 June 2011
  • Conclusion: Without a doubt, the biggest problem with Duke Nukem Forever is how long it’s been in development. Many believed that it wouldn’t live up to the hype and they were right; and probably just as many people believed that it would never see the light of day. Duke Nukem Forever sits in a unique and privileged position in that it almost demands that you play it for yourself to make up your own mind.

Duke Nukem Forever

Empire Online
18 March 2011
  • Summary: A short while into Gearbox Software’s Duke Nukem Forever it's hard not to get the feeling of being a little hard done by. After a 15 year wait for the return of Nukem, Empire found itself stumbling through a mediocre pad-pushing experience weighed down by grainy visuals, so-so level design, a handful of bugs and some astonishingly frustrating load times.
