A sandbox-style action driving video, Driver: San Francisco is an upcoming game published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Reflections. The game was revealed at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 and is set to be released somewhere between April 2011- March 2012 for various platforms including Mac OS X, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and OnLive system. This game takes place several months after the events of the previous video game Driv3r. It is unveiled that John Tanner as well as Charles Jericho survived after the shootout in Istanbul. On the other hand, it is seen in the game’s trailer that Charles Jericho is seen escaping the San Francisco police in a hijacked police truck, creating havoc on the Golden Gate Bridge. Meanwhile, after John Tanner is hit on the head by Jericho, Tanner is left into a coma in the hospital. The game will continue in Tanner’s coma dream.

Features

In this game, a new feature has been included which is the “Shift” feature, which allows the main player, Tanner to shift from one car to another one and still continue the mission. However, the Shift feature is not unlimited, so the players have to recharge their Shift meter by doing various stunts like power slides, big jumps, and driving into oncoming traffic. This feature must be also be upgraded from time to time so that the players are enable to shift into other distant cars. Meanwhile, players could finish the game without using the shifting feature. Other than that, the Film Director Mode will be back and the game will run at almost sixty frames per second. This game has nine different game modes which includes the Trail Blazer mode. San Francisco will be one of the longest driving environments with about 208 miles in this game.
