Driving games couldent get more simpler but so fun
30 May 2010
Excerpt: Although this game is from 1999 it has some of the most simplest concepts, yet you can get hours and hours of fun out of it. First on the ps1 and then on pc, which it's just as good on the pc. Drive around one of 4 citys escaping the police, don't let them hit you or you will fail your mission. Because this is a old game you will also find it has cheat codes which give you extra fun once you have completed campain mode. Funny thing is your an undercover cop yourself.
Pros: Simple, fun, anyone can play
Cons: It's a tad old but that don't really matter brill game
Excerpt: I played this not long after playing GTA3 as I was hoping for something of a similar style. Bad mistake to make. Driver is exactly what is says. It's purely driving to certain points to complete your mission. You should generally avoid the police as chances are you will be speeding and they're far from easy to shake.
Excerpt: Published: 3/27/2001 The Story: Once leaving stock car racing a few years back you head to New York for police work. Being the skilled driver you are you later decide to head to Miami to go undercover. Your name is Tanner. You pose as a gateway driver for one of the most powerful and serious crime organizations: The Castaldi Family. So hit the streets, but watch your back because every move you make will determine what happens next.
Excerpt: Driver the most lovely game . i have played driver lot times this is very good and iteresting to play game and i like to play and time pass with this game it is very good to time pass. thisis very good and new missions and intersting setuation excelent graphics and every thing that what we need in any game .
Excerpt: I am rubbish at arcade games, and this one is no exception. It is really difficult. There is a really irritating section where you have to display your prowess as a driver before you can even start the game proper. STOP PRESS - Finally managed the driving test, and a few missions. Essentially the game involves you being a getaway driver for a series of ever more challenging missions.
Pros: Nice soundtrack, realistically bad car handling, good graphics, cheap to buy
Excerpt: I remember reading an article on this game late 1999 and thinking this could be the best driving expereince ever had via a home PC. I waited with baited breath, checking the magazines and internet for information of its release. The months flew by and nothing had been said since this article. I began to doubt that any such game was in development, then, it arrived! Well, it did for the Playstation (oops, sorry PSOne).
Excerpt: Driver is a driving similator set in three large cities. You play the part of an undercover cop on the wrong side of the law. The game is addictable and fun, but maintains a realistic feel and can be humourous at times. Unfortunately as the game progresses it loses its originality and tends to become boring with a repetition of missions, and predictable gameplay.
Excerpt: Driver is a fast and furious game the graphics are almost life like the main game is great fun but can be hard I even found the start of it hard but the first few levels after the garage are quite easy I love carnage mode and cross town check point. Carnage mode you have to destroy as many car as possible and in cross town checkpoint you have to get to 6 different points as fast as you can.
Pros: Great to play on rainy day .
Cons: If you can't get past the garage it gets tedious .
Excerpt: With Driver, one of the most hyped games of the year, developers GT have come up with a concept that will be a dream come true for many people, like me, who used to watch action films purely for the car chases. Ever since the immensely successful Grand Theft Auto demonstrated a couple of years ago how much people enjoy tearing through jam-packed cities at irresponsible speeds, a 3D version take on the concept was bound to appear.
Excerpt: This game is quite good, good cars, but they do not handle realistically which REALLY lets the game down. The missions are a bit repitive, just racing away from angry cops constantly, and isn't too difficult. I usually just like to drive around, exploring the cities. The problem is this soon gets boring as the cities are quite small. The traffic are unrealistic, constantly all doing exactly 30 m.p.h.
