Excellent game......beware of downloading right from Amazon.

Summary: This game is one of my favorites. The game itself gets a 5. No questions asked. However, I'm writing this review to hopefully save people who buy this game as a PC download some time in the future. DO NOT....and I repeat DO NOT download directly from Amazon. I did.....and wasted 6 hours of my time, as the install was missing some very important .dll files that caused my game install to be corrupt.
Summary: Awesome game, great content and hours of gameplay! The download was smooth and worked right away. As a note if you have a mac book pro retina display you need to change some things in the system files to make it run. I dont have the website with me but there are plenty of online resources for this. The basic problem is the game was not designed for that resolution so you need to change how it runs in one of the files.
Summary: I was unable to download and install successfully from Amazon; however, Amazon Customer Support directed me to redeem my product code on the EA Origin site and download from there. That worked smoothly and I'm up and running. Regarding the game itself: I played DA Origins and all its updates as they were first released. It's a unique combination of RPG and virtual epic fantasy story telling that still stands without equal (including its lamentable sequel).
Summary: I loved playing this game on my windows based laptop, but when my laptop died I decided to give Mac a try and purchased a Mac Mini to act as a multimedia device with my living room tv. Some of the reviews here for the Mac download of this game made me nervous since many have reported errors with it on the newer Mac operating systems.
Summary: This game functioned perfectly on my late 2013 MacBook Air. It was flawless. And besides the fact that it's one of the best, most infinitely replayable games of all time, it was also entirely moddable on my mac. Simply put- thank you , Amazon.
Summary: The game itself is amazing, classic bioware. I won't say more on it. The DRM issues however...is classic EA. And they are plentiful if you buy the PC digital download. I have finally got everything to work after a lot of research/struggle. First off, 12.4 GB is NOT how big the game is...it is 27 GB for those who need to calculate bandwidth caps.
