Summary: Although I can understand some criticism about this game (which certainly is not perfect, and it cannot be considered a classic) I do not understand some ratings... some very negative. I must say, despite the general graphics (not up-to-date, not for the 2008) and some enigmas (a bit 'too difficult sometimes), the interesting setting, the very complete and mature plot, the sense of grow ing tension, and some small "gems" that I do not reveal (spoiler), made me really...
Summary: It is by far not the best adventure game, but it has that charming limitation of relatively old games I personally like. You must read all documents you find, for many times the answer is in them. I actually like that, and the texts are not long nor too many so reading them isn't boring at all.
Summary: I decided to come back and play this original game before playing the new release in the series. I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed that I did. HOURS of play, good Lord I lost track of the hours. After years of playing games of this type, I rate them by if I have to look for a walkthrough to figure it out. For me this is the #1 sign I've found a great game. PROS: -Graphics were beautiful and held up crystal clear on my large monitor.
Summary: This is the best game I've ever played, over the newly released PC games, or xBox games, whatever it may be. The graphics are amazing, and the story plot is too. This game does take a very long time to complete, but I just love this.
a good appealing and graphically stunning game for anyone young or old...

Summary: though Dracula Orgins has little to do with Microid's adventure games, it focuses on Van Helsing and his detective work in uncovering clues about mysterious attacks in various places. The acting is excellent and the interaction is advanced. You have to put extra weights on the soloflex of the brain to play it. Your thinking every step and every puzzel and you will get stuck.
Summary: We just finished playing this game and overall, we enjoyed it quite a bit. First, we should warn that there were some technical issues with the game. At one point in the middle of the game it started refusing to save, and we needed to update all of our drivers and run the game from the disc once in order to get it to save again. So, we would highly recommend installing all patches and updating all drivers before beginning to play.
Summary: I'm a big Dracula fan and so when I saw this game, I snatched it quickly. This is the first PC game I've played in a quite some time and I'm glad I got it--namely because this version of Dracula was leaner, handsomer, and younger than I thought he'd be. Overall, it was enjoyable and challenging. I finished it in 2 days. When I played, I took more notice of the detailed graphics sometimes more so than the dialog or the actual story.
Summary: Although the game probably does warrant a fifth star I stop at four because it was too difficult to play through without the walk through information. There should have been some hints to build on so you had an idea what to do next. As it was I'd get to an area and suddenly have no idea what to do to move on. After several times going through section after section I'd turn to the walk through and discover what to do next.
Summary: i will preface this review by mentioning that before i played "dracula: origin" i had recently played "syberia" 1 and 2, so those were the games i found myself comparing this to in terms of puzzles, scenery, graphics, and dialogue. as another reviewer mentioned, loading the game was a frustrating challenge. i have windows 7, and since the specs say the game is compatible with xp, i figured i wouldn't have a problem.
Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I agree with the gamezebo review that too much time was spent looking for objects (I didn't see the tip to hit the spacebar to illuminate all of the interactive objects until the game was over). However, the gamezebo review also criticized the puzzles for being too cryptic. I really really like it when the puzzles are bizarre. It took me a while to even figure out what the moving parts were on some of them.
