Divinity II Ego Draconis is a great game really, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it from start to finish. In fact I’m thinking about going back and playing it again just to do complete all of the side quests. If you’re a fan of dragons and RPG games then you’ll want to add this to your list of must-have games in 2010, and you won’t have to wait long either, the release date is early January. Read more
Wings of Liberty ’s multiplayer proved to be a streamlined experience without any glitches. The single-player game was a different story. The loading screens froze up several times, forcing me to reboot the system and occasionally part of the sound or speech would go silent for a short while. In the grand scheme of things these are but minor issues in an otherwise polished game. Overall, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty , is a unique, if not entirely even, success. Read more
An ambitious and attractive fantasy-themed dungeon crawler, lackluster combat and a boring narrative hold the latest installation in the Divinity series back from RPG greatness. Read more
Divinity II: Ego Draconis is one of the few games these days which keeps you guessing. There's an early plot twist, which anyone who's read the back of the box will foresee. Then Mr Gandalf-wannabe appears and, like that annoying guy who's seen the film already, tells you your destiny. After that, some may consider the progression linear, but the line is often colourful, and it probably doesn't end-up where you expect it to. Read more
Although the game doesn't have many redeeming qualities, I do have to say that none of these poor aspects is an absolute deal-breaker. Sure, the game looks bad, and the battle system is yawn-worthy, but if you have finished every other RPG out there, you may find some enjoyment from Divinity II. It really can't compare with the likes of Dragon Age: Origins or the Elder Scrolls series, but it is at least playable. Read more
The rose-tinted refresher combined with clever new features make Divinity II an RPG that’s hard to put down. Read more
Given the similarity in titles, it would be easy to assume that Ego Draconis is little more than an effort to capitalize on Bioware’s recent opus, Dragon Age: Origins. While both are role-playing games in a fantasy setting, it may surprise people to learn just how richly-laden the world of Rivellon is; much of it actually looks even better than Fereldan. Divinity II was not devised as some kind of afterthought. Read more
I had an absolute blast playing through Divinity 2: Ego Draconis , that is, once I got a hang of the controls and upgraded my weapons and armor past the basic gear. This game held my attention the entire time I played and I just couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next, and better yet, I couldn’t wait to see my character was going to improve and see both what skills he was going to learn, and how cool he was going to look with new armor. In Divinity II: Ego Draconis, players find themselves once again in Rivellon, a timeless world full of awe and magic, shattered and frightened by the apocalyptic wars of the past. No one knows why so many people had to give their lives. Everything seems to be over, but the peace was deceptive, for the demon has returned and the horror once again runs its course. Read more
Divinity II may draw you in despite its foibles. Flying about as a dragon, summoning your custom-made beast to your side, messing around with enchantments and charms--these elements are thoughtfully designed and inventive enough to be entertaining. But the disappointing story, glitchy AI, and all sorts of minor frustrations bog it down. If you're a forgiving RPG fanatic, you may be able to overlook the faults and see this sequel for what it might have been. Read more
I bought this game when it first came out, been listening to the soundtrack off and on ever since. Best soundtrack I've ever heard, and I even played Lineage II which had a killer soundtrack. The lore and stories are fun, humorous, and can be dark. The game has great easter eggs: Kill every bunny you see, and you'll see what I mean. Items are randomly generated with different stats/abilities. Read more or see product
