Summary: I cannot put my finger on the reason, but this game just did not engage me. The voice acting is fine, the graphics are decent, there is nothing bad about the game at all. But it did not engage me. I would sit down at the computer and find excused to play other games. It's not that I don't like the genre. I remembered liking Thief quite a bit. I really liked Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It is just something about Dishonored.
Summary: Bought this thinking it would be like Thief and Fry Cry 3. I loved the stealth. But the whole game was way to short. There are limited options of play which is like Thief and unlike FC3. Wish that player could use a flashlight or torch. Buy it on sale; because to me the gameplay time is way to short lived. Also wish there was more off mission exploring.
Summary: I have a I7 with 6950 the game played with all on it does actually have a save you can use. Seems like an old game they stoped working on then came back to finish it later by the Graphics just like H L 2 that was 8 years ago.
Pros: None really after playing new Bio Shock the game is sort of like it . Bio was alot more fun to play.
Cons: This game is said to be only 7-8 hours reason why there are 4 DSL that go with this game. The graphics are like Half Life 2 but not as good. The game has a good story line and it is fun to play but the 4 DSL should be in here there 40 $ extra Steam had the whole package for 40 $ Why i bought it. 40 $ just for this game NO. after Bio no way.
Summary: Bought and finished the game in a weekend and doubt I'll fire it up again. For some gamers, that would say more than enough about the game. But in the interest of clarity, I'll expound. Dishonored had its interesting points, making it worth picking up on sale. The graphics were good and fit the game, though more `Morrowind' than `Skyrim', if you catch the distinction.
Summary: Let me start by saying that the game mechanics and how the game "handles" are excellent. No arguing with the general consensus there. What I really can't understand are the many, many reviewers and fans who will praise the voice acting to the skies, while condemning the graphics. This is the worst video game voice acting I've ever encountered in a game. When I found out Brad Dourif and Susan Sarandon were among the cast, I was flabbergasted.
Summary: (This review's been updated since its initial posting. Scroll to the bottom for the update.) --- Dishonored is what happens when Deus Ex has a threesome with Prince of Persia and Infamous, that PS3 open-world game. It's a stealth action game with light, easy gameplay, good voice acting, and the worst graphics of any recent AAA game in memory. Gameplay -------- * On normal mode, it's a pretty easy game.
