Summary: I never played the other diablo games. So you take or leave my opinion. I played WOW for about 7 years and finally gave it up. Family was more important but I still wanted something to play occasionally. People say it has no replay ability.
Pros: This games pretty fun. Play the starter edition if you aren't sure you want to play it or not. The quest lines are fun and you can explore around and find mini dungeons and bosses.
Cons: Everything on the auction house is way expensive. Good thing you don't have to shop on there to survive. Oh well, come march the auction house is going bye bye anyway.
Decent game, great collectors edition, replayability exists, but only to a fraction of Diablo II levels.

Summary: The collectors edition came with all the parts. I will say, I expected the skull to be a little bit bigger, but it has a hefty strong feel to it, which suggests it will be resilient. The loss of one star is due to my disappointment with the game as a whole. I played Diablo II for years.
Summary: In a nutshell, Blizzard sells "Virtual Gears" in the Real Money Auction House (RMAH) so you can "Upgrade" your gears to keep on fighting "one shot kill" monster on you. For example, the Soul Reapers will first "gimp" and wall you off and MOB you with one or two shots kill. Guaranteed.
Summary: Replayablilty is not as high as D2 because of how often new games come out (back then, you didn't have many to choose from and you were willing to spend a few more weeks on this game doing repetitive grinding)
Pros: Really fun. Good story line and the best cut scenes. Skills are a lot better to work with than previous games, as you don't have to delete you character when you figure out a way to make a better skill tree (deleted 2 80+ sorceress' in D2). Also being able to have 1-4 being skills as well as your...
Cons: Always online requirement, making gaming here in remote Alaska as difficult as any other online game, but I played enough D2 online to get used of predicting things 1 sec ahead. Isn't as demonic in terms of visuals, looks like Torchlight with a lot of blood.
Summary: I don't think this game will disappoint D2 players or even other RPG fans but like almost any product, it does have its flaws so don't expect some mystical experience that will lead you to the path of enlightenment and nirvana because this is just a video game and it will keep you as entertained as...
Pros: It is fun and can keep you entertained for hours on end. This installment of Diablo is a very promising game that has twists, turns, excitement, a riveting story, and parts that will help you experience all levels of human emotion.
Cons: With that out of the way playing the game now as compared to day 1 it feels like a completely different game with all of Blizzards updates. Some of the things Blizzard has done in the aren't the best *eh hem real money auction* but they did have a monumental task with trying to improve on Diablo ...
