Good but Short

Dr. Ralph R. Sawtell, Amazon

  • Summary: I enjoyed this expansion pack but found it to be very short for the price. I have continued on in adventuring mode and it is still keeping my attention.

good game but Blizzard treated us bad with this set up!

Tim Case, Amazon

  • Summary: I have games so that when I am bored I can play them. When my internet goes out is one of these times. I am NOT an online gamer anymore but I have all the old Diablo and Warcraft games and I was looking forward to trying Diablo 3 and expansion when the came in the mail. So my internet went out and I thought perfect time to try it out....wrong!

not bad - was fun for awhile.

  • Summary: Blizzard put in some new features, was kinda fun to play the story (took like a few hours) than you can do Rift runs, but it gets kinda old quick. There doesn't seem much to whats the reason you want to keep getting higher legendary gear. Not much motive to do so unless you enjoy grinding over and over again. got bored quick.

It's Better Than D3V By Far, Points Off For Peak Time Performance

syrik, Amazon
3 April 2014
  • Summary: The xpac changes everything. New loot, new stats, new affixes, higher difficulty, new abilities, new game modes. It's much more fun than the original and there is more to do than ever before. Killing monsters is actually addictive like D2 was. Some of the bugs from the original game have FINALLY been fixed, but not all which is why I'm knocking it two stars. If you liked D3V you'll definitely want to get this xpac.

Certainly a step in the right direction, but..

  • Summary: Going to start this review describing changes to the core game, so there is a foundation for my description of RoS. I wasnt going to bother with this expansion, until i found out that blizzard had greatly re-designed one of the biggest bungles of their launch of diablo 3 (the loot drop system).

Waste of Money

Robert G. Lawhead "ship modeler", Amazon
28 March 2014
  • Summary: The only question is why. Why would Blizzard put out this worthless product? The game play is exactly the same. For $39 you get a couple of minutes of new cinematics, and a new character. BFD. Story line is exactly the same. This is the first add on I have purchased where you don't even get a new chapter of the story. I have been playing about 2 hrs and already am bored, Addendum: there is a new act after you have killed the prime evil again.

About as Bare Bones as You Can Get and Still Call an "Expansion"

izau, Amazon
6 March 2014
  • Summary: Reaper of Souls improves Diablo 3 but still leaves me wanting. For an expasion pack it is also extremely light on content. RoS provides you with one new class, a new act, "adventure" mode, and "rifts." Adventure mode and rifts essentially exist to fix the extremely lackluster state this game was in during its Vanilla launch a year and a half ago.
