Summary: I played the original Deus Ex on my Mac desktop for a long long time. It is a remarkable game which rewards alternative approaches. The Mac became really obsolete and was replaced by a G5 with OS 10, not compatible with the game. I played the sequel several times on my wife's Windows laptop. In some ways it was more ambitious than Deus Ex, but most gamers regarded it as a disappointment. The DVD combines both games.
Summary: I ordered Deus Ex GOTY for XP from Ship Zip and encountered many problems installing the game. Long story short, Ship Zip responded promptly to my complaints and replaced the returned disk. After some trial and error and the help of a gamer pal of mine, installation problems were solved on a second computer at work (we installed from the setup file in the system folder rather than the autoplay or automatic install from disk) In addition I realized I did not have Winzip...
At first sucks, but over time gets addicting and fun!

Summary: When I first played this game I hated it. But after playing it and giving it a chance I have found out its a really good story based game with fun action. You will get used to the graphics, or I did anyway, if you don't mind out-dated graphics. Which again, I hated the graphics at FIRST but they don't bother me now. This is just a fun game for people who like RPG's and games that let you choose if you want to play it like a Stealth game or a full shoot-em-up Action game.
Summary: It is a good shooting game. Kinda old school, but its pretty cheap. Not as good as the new games, but you can download all kinds of patches and add ons for free! It is a good game if your computer cant support call of duty 4 or 5, or if youre already sick of them.
Summary: Deus Ex is a wonderful game. It was one of the first FPS-RPGs (First-Person Shooter / Role-Playing Game), allowing the user to add skill points in various attribute areas, such as weapons, first aid, the use of numerous protective equipment. Each open-style mission allows the user to find multiple entrance points to the target site, based on skill and play-style. The Choose-Your-Own-Adventure dialog also allows for a new set of choices for every replay.
Summary: Deus Ex gives the player a LOT of control--there are tons of different weapons, weapon modifications, supplies, cybernetic augmentations that are upgrade-able, skills that are also upgrade-able, different items and routes to take advantage of. Roughly, your tactics fall into two categories--stealth and confrontation, but by combining various assets, there are often many approaches.
Summary: First of all, why four stars? Without giving a spoiler, there is a point in this game where you are given the illusion of a choice. You can go through all the motions of making the choice the game is designed for you to make and then decide not to. You can go back to the place where your choice path for this level was started in conversation and there is a conversation option that makes it seem like you actually have two options. You do not have two options.
