Summary: I haven't played any previous Deus Ex games, but I really liked this one. I picked it up on a whim, and much to my surprise I really enjoyed it. Not much variety in locations (when compared to the likes of Skyrim), but it's compensated by the variety of play styles. You can annihilate everything in your way, or you can sneak around and merely disable your opponents, or anything in between. The storyline is interesting and keeps you engaged.
Summary: Good long singleplayer. Outdated graphics and the combat is slightly below average. I give it 5 stars though because it was an extremely addicting story and took 25 hours to complete. I also love the option to try to persuade people based on their personality. Also despite the graphics being a bit dated, this thing unreasonably pushed the limits of my system (core2quad 2.4ghz, gtx 460 768mb). Bad port?
I can only say that I enjoyed playing it so much that I played it twice ...

Summary: I am merely a casual weekend gamer, so I cannot give this game a proper or full review. I can only say that I enjoyed playing it so much that I played it twice in a row, something I very rarely do. Steam says I have 85 hours played on this game, whereas I average maybe 30 per game.
