Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Missing Link Review

Strategy Gaming Online
21 October 2011
  • Excerpt: surprised many of the most hardened, cynical, and skeptical gamers out there. Sure, it didn't deliver the exact same brand of action-RPG that the legendary original game did back in 2000, but it did bring back the stealth-action gameplay with a few new twists and showed us some wonderful art and design while asking interesting questions about the future of human genetic research and technology.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The Missing Link Review (PC-Steam)

Gamers Daily News
14 October 2011
  • Summary: This is a fun extra segment to play through, with a convincing emphasis on stealth and careful planning. However, the $15 price is rather steep for a section that can probably be cleared in about five hours at most. The Missing Link is best saved for if you don’t mind spending a little extra or perhaps find it available at a discount later on. That isn’t to say such a sale will happen, but if it does then I can much more enthusiastically recommend this DLC.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Review

maximum pc
14 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Deus Ex: Human Revolution gave us a game-over screen seconds after the opening credits, and we loved it. We were about to tiptoe into our first mission—deftly defusing a hostage crisis—when we encountered a trio of friendly SWAT guards. “Good guys,” said our brain. “No can hurt,” it concluded in caveman.
  • Pros: Tons of freedom to play however you please; augmentations for every occasion; incredibly interesting, well thought out world.
  • Cons: Terrible boss fights; all-over-the-place AI; some silly writing and voice acting.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

The Armchair Empire
9 October 2011
  • Conclusion: systems employed for security and military applications? The ballooning media conglomerates who blanket the masses in carefully tailored message-driven propaganda while smaller and increasingly marginalized outlets devolve into hysterics just to attract attention? Or perhaps the danger is yet unknown, the fruits of scientific labor which may deliver humanity's salvation or destruction based simply on whose hand bears it.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gaming and Performance Review on AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series Video Cards

Hi Tech Legion
19 September 2011
  • Summary: Living up to the original Deus Ex title is a tall order as it delivered a style of storytelling and gameplay that was very unique for its time. While the sequel Deus Ex: Invisible War did not live up to everyone’s expectations, Deus Ex: Human Revolution restores some of the glory to the franchise. The art design is superb and each world is fully realized, not just in terms of the environment but with NPCs as well.
