Summary: I have Windows 7, so my game would crash at the poker game. I figured out a way to get past the glitch, and so 2 years after I bought the game I was able to finish it! It's really fun. To get past the glitch, you have to seduce someone around 6:55pm, then the time afterwards will be after 7pm and it will automatically put you at the poker game, and you can continue with the story! I hope this helps!
Summary: You have to get online and get a game patch so you can go to the 2nd poker game at 7 or the computer will go black and you can't go any futher. Other than that I really like the game. I love the Sims games so if you like that you will enjoy this too!
Summary: Mom- If you are like most of us and have an ordinary video card, it wont work! Tried installing it on 4 systems, all with standard up to date stuff and it didnt work. After 3 purchased videos cards I finally got it right! I had to download the list of video cards it would work with but then also figure out why type of video card my system took! Whew.
Summary: I have not finished the game yet and at the rate I am going I may never. After unlocking the "Online Poker" that is what I end up playing everytime I start a new day. It is so much fun playing with the Desparate Housewives.
Summary: This game is really fun! Not only can you go through the main storyline, but there are also mini-games for cooking, gardening, and stealing items from your neighbors while they are asleep. Another good thing about it is the "choose your own adventure" feel the game has. Oftentimes you can pick between two different scenarios to play out. The game is entertaining enough, but not so challenging that it could be frustrating.
Summary: First off, let me say that I have only seen maybe 2 episodes of the TV Show. The main reason I got this game was because I read a review in PC Gamer that praised it -- it said the game was fun and interesting for the price. That said, I have played through 12 episodes of my family (completed), and I love this game! Overall, I must have spent 15 hours or more playing through 12 episodes.
Summary: I have now played this game once all the way through and am about halfway through a new one, so I feel well equipped to write a review. The game starts off by letting you pick your main character, who is always female. You are stuck with a teenage son and husband for which there are few customizing options. The game itself is played in 12 episodes.
Conclusion: I am not a fan of Desperate Housewives, but picked up this game anyway for someone who is a HUGE fan. She was happy to receive it, and when I later asked how it was, she found it hugely fun and very addictive. The player is placed in a 1st person environment, basically playing a character who moves into the same neighbourhood as in the TV show.
Excerpt: "****Desperate Housewives: The Game**** The only reason i got this was because my friend bought it for herself and it didn't work on her computer.I only mention this because this was apparently a big fault with the game-something to do with video cards or something and the game not recognising them?(not very good with technology so not sure).Thankfully this wasn't a problem for me so i got what i class as a good game(hi-five!!) **The plot** You ...
Excerpt: "this game is enjoyable, the graphics are great and its not difficult either so its fantastic, only down point is once you've completed the whole game you see very little point in playing it again unlike the sims. this game has the characters to perfection . its great fun playing house on wisteria lane, you can sneak into other housewives houses, cook food, play poker with housewives and even do the gardening , go downtown and find out some gossip ...
