User Review

AlexanderVascus, Metacritic

  • Summary: The negative reviews on this are pretty darn off to how they rate this game. The visuals are breathtaking, the game-play is stellar. It's an obvious MOBA game like DOTA so people need to cease the fan-boy whining.

Well Worth It

  • Summary: Computer Specs: 2.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo nVidia 9800m GT 2GB DDR3 RAM
  • Pros: I love this game. Just started playing and the matches are a blast. It's a nice break from typical RTS games because you don't have to manage resources. Just fight fight fight! The game has great graphics. Runs maxed out on my computer listed below. The different demigods all have very unique abi...
  • Cons: The only thing I have disliked about this game is the community. The people that play online truly have no lives. They smack talk like no other and if you make one mistake in the game they whine and moan until their bedtimes. The old players are not very supportive either. They look down upon noo...

Great Game, potential!

Robin C., Newegg
17 July 2009
  • Summary: This game was meant to be played with friends, so either 1) Get some buddies to all grab this and you can all play or 2) Get the game and try to make some friends through the games.
  • Pros: This game has hours of fun for online play, not so much Single Player. From 8 completely different characters(Demigods) to choose from you can be sure to have a blast.
  • Cons: There has been a lot of crashes and connectivity stuff but that is being sorted out by the developers.

Great play online

Tyler D., Newegg
18 June 2009
  • Summary: While single player is lacking, the online experience makes this game shine.
  • Pros: This game is phenomenally fun. Online play in the regular tournaments often matches you in really fun and well balanced games, or you can join custom games. There is also a site which tracks your progress in the game and ladder and tournament ranks, as well as how much you play. There are enough ...
  • Cons: There really isn't much of a single player game. This game is made primarily for online play.

Demigod - Under Rated - Excellent Game - Bug Fixes are out and working great!!! Worth Buying!

Joey A. Cox, Amazon
14 June 2009
  • Summary: Demigod is a very underrated game because its not the typical first person shooter that the majority of game reviewers play. This is in my opinion, a Real Time Strategy game where instead of bases to upgrade and troops to deploy, you are upgrading your characters like a Role Playing Game would do.

Great game

Michael M., Newegg
27 May 2009
  • Summary: The developers have been very attentive with patching and fixing issues as they come up. The network issues with multiplayer have pretty much been taken care of now.
  • Pros: Great game play. Very active development going on with the game as well. If you enjoyed games like Warcraft 1-3 especially if you liked dota then this is a great game to pick up.
  • Cons: The requirements seem off on some computer configurations. I have a laptop that has a decent core 2 duo and an 8800 GTS with 3gb of ram that will over heat playing it... which is odd since I can play games like crysis warhead on it with less issue.. Then on my desktop which is an i7 with a nvidia...

Great Multiplayer Game!

Scott S., Newegg
7 May 2009
  • Summary: 1) A past review said it is made by the same people who made Dota... that's not true. 2) Game play is very similar to DotA, but if you are expecting it to be the same, you will be disappointed. Be ready for something new.
  • Pros: Many many many options for each game including game modes and starting gold, gold income, creep strength, starting level, experience gain, flag capture speed, and many more. 8 Very cool Demigods. Wonderful graphics with cool looking maps. Stellar game play. Takes a lot of the features in DotA and...
  • Cons: Currently the online multiplayer modes have a lot of connection issues, but they are being updated constantly, and the devs are REALLY awesome at communicating with the customers.

A Must Get!

Daniel G., Newegg
5 May 2009
  • Summary: Its a must get game! It is very fun to play, looks great, and it will have play-back value, unlike alot of "fun for only a month or so games". Truely a master-piece of a much needed update of DOTA!
  • Pros: Great Game play, char development, and maps. Game play is fun, fair, balanced. With char and team development, allows for more work to be done than dota. *you have to do more than just level up and buy items for your char. You have to capture flags that give bonus's and level up your home base Tr...
  • Cons: Multi-player connection system works, but needs much improvement. Needs More char's (but knowing that this is made by the same people that did DOTA in WC:FT; they will continue up-dating and making more chars)

Arsome

Anonymous, Newegg
4 May 2009
  • Summary: I highly recommend this one. I think it's going to be around for awhile, like one of the previous reviewers said.
  • Pros: This game is a lot of fun. It's like Diablo + RTS + Chess. Online is a blast, and I am still not sick of the very limited single player game. You can play effectively entirely with your mouse. I very rarely use the keyboard, which is pretty cool considering that there is quite a bit of action goi...
  • Cons: There is basically no single player. Just skirmish and a tourney mode. Kind of like a fighting game's single player.
