Summary: The game itself is fun - very fun. In fact I might say that in terms of gameplay demigod is my favorite RTS game in the style of mobas. However - the single player is very meh. AI never does anything different and putting 2 ai's together is guaranteed to result in a infinite stalemate. And that's really it for this review. The multiplayer is all but dead - filled with nothing but elitists and impossible for newbies to get a game going.
Summary: The negative reviews on this are pretty darn off to how they rate this game. The visuals are breathtaking, the game-play is stellar. It's an obvious MOBA game like DOTA so people need to cease the fan-boy whining. This at heart is a MOBA game, but they added elements that focus on areas of action and fast paced hot seat reaction. In Vanilla this game is perfectly fine, with a few mods and tweaks out there this has become my favorite MOBA game out there.
Summary: So, I'm hesitant to write a review of this game after it's been out for so long, because there were a lot of issues with it in the beginning. However, since the price has dropped to $20 I feel it's worth another look at by the gaming community. Lets be honest: you can do a lot with $20 and video games nowadays if you don't mind decent indie titles and going through the right channels, so does Demigod stand up to the value? Yes, I believe it does.
Pros: I love this game. Just started playing and the matches are a blast. It's a nice break from typical RTS games because you don't have to manage resources. Just fight fight fight! The game has great graphics. Runs maxed out on my computer listed below. The different demigods all have very unique abilities. The game doesn't get old in that aspect. Online play is a blast. It's a bit repetitive but what RTS game isn't?
Cons: The only thing I have disliked about this game is the community. The people that play online truly have no lives. They smack talk like no other and if you make one mistake in the game they whine and moan until their bedtimes. The old players are not very supportive either. They look down upon noobies, but funny I have already beaten players with 300+ games and I've only played 10. I didn't deduct an egg due to the game's poor community because it deoesn't really refle...
Summary: One of the better games i've played in a while. very fun co-op game. amazing graphics. only down side to game (not a problem for me but was for a buddy), you need a really good system (i.e. processor and video card) for the game. any computer bought in last 1.5 years should be fine.
Summary: pro: simple yet addictive gameplay. con: demigods skills can be a little more diverse. game feels rigid in a sense that you don't get to control where to lay your towers, portals and flags. needs to add a lot more content to be called a fully finished retail game, but giving me paying less than $15 here on ebay, it'll do.
