Summary: This game is very enjoyable. The day I received it I played it for maybe 2,3 hours. They manual does not tell you hoq to end a hunt after you reach your bag limit. Which was a little frustrating at first. I realized all you have to do is click, "Go to main menu". Other than that this is a wonderful game. And you won't be disappointed!
Summary: Bought the game back on Dec. 20 and I still haven't been able to play it. I can't get it to run right on my computer. It says it will run on windows xp and that's what I have. I've been sending tickets back and forth with Atari support and I'm getting nowhere. It's a shame because it looks like a good game, what I've seen of it. The problem I'm having is that there's a bad lag when i try to play.
Summary: Deer Hunter Tournament is still the best retail hunting game avaliable, it is light years ahead of any Cabela's title in terms of realism and freedom of movement. You really feel like you are in the wild stalking/luring your prey, not like the Cabela's games where you are on rails shooting animals that pop out of nowhere. This game needs a good system to run at max settings and eyecandy.
Summary: I know lots of people don't like this game anymore because Atari sold out to a bigger company so there is no more internet support. You can still play online all the same tho. The game is what it is. "No more patches" but as far as the game rating... Amazing. It is still a great hunting game and I love all the deer hunter series games. You WILL love this game if you like the Deer Hunter Series. Great graphics, Onliine Tournaments and single player hunting. It's all good!
Summary: Out of all the christmas presents my husband recieved this year, this was not only the least expensive but also his favorite. He mentioned that this is a great game to get a younge man as it shows you the basics of what good hunting practices are like. Killing on the first shot, following the injured animal rather that going after another, ... He loves this game.
Summary: Deer Hunter is a decent hunting game where you can go online and play against other hunters for trophies such as points for the first/largest deer. The graphics are detailed and need a decent rig to run everything on the highest settings. There are many ambient sounds in the game. Elk, Deer, Couger all sound correct in the wildlife viewer. You can play on eleven maps.
