Summary: i dont know why i bought this game.probably coz of zombies in i was hoping it to be scary a bit but its hilarious and boring at the same time.on the other hand the game is a bad port+gfwl which made my life fuking hell to even run it on my pc.if you want a better game play dead island instead.but if you are a zombie fan like me play this game too.
Summary: Well...."Dead Rising 2" isn't a masterpiece, but enjoyable. The missions and zombie massacres are too repetitive after a while, but if you can live with it, that's fine. The weapon making system is awesome and creative in every way. The graphics are also (kinda) impressive if you watch it in a standard viewpoint. Overall a game that you would love to play in a rainy day.
Summary: I just rented this game recently, and thought I was going to absolutely love it; killing zombies with improvised weapons sounds like a fantastic idea. The weapons are absolutely well executed too, they're entertaining and satisfying to use. The character customization is also pretty well executed in terms of outfit choices and such. With these 2 things done so well, I was really enjoying t his game at first.
Summary: The story wasn't so great, the freedom was little, gameplay was repetitive, bosses were ridiculous, graphics were bad and it LAGGED a lot (even on great computers), it's a RUSHED CONSOLE PORT, it requires Games for Windows Live (awful). I have a GTX NVIDIA video card and it still lags like a motherhumper. Other than that, the "crafting" system was cool, there's a large variety of weapons and places for you to visit, other stuff... But don't buy it.
Summary: Had to deal with windows live gaming install on top of game. It was actually not that bad but definitely slower than Xbox Live. Why can't they make it as quick as xbl? Oddly enough I used the same login for xbl on the pc game. All my credits on the xbl account transferred over. The game itself has mediocre graphics. Cranking up the details doesn't make a huge difference. Also while the game looks ok it runs slow for what it does show.
Summary: My rating is based on the fact that I could not get the game to play at all. I have a brand new system that can play Crysis 2 on maxed graphic settings, and it meets all the other requirements for this game. I am not sure whether it was something going on with games for windows live (though I've played other GWL based games and they've been fine) or if it was something else. I tried all the fixes and workarounds I could find on the forums but nothing worked.
Summary: Let me put it simply. Cons: Load Times, Repetitive side missions, Weak enemies, Ridiculously difficult bosses, A timer on a free-roaming game, and a broken save system. Pros: Paddlesaws. I rest my case.
Summary: This issue keeps on repeating and repeating itself- Phenomenal Idea, Unpolished Product. Darkest of Days is a great example. But, let us not stray too far from the topic itself, which is killing zombies. Yeah! Dead Rising 2 features a former motorcross champion, Chuck Greene (who lost his wife during the first game, or outbreak), traversing a Vegas-Like mall, Fortune City, trying to clear his name, save his daughter, and of course, kill thousands of zombies.
Summary: I figured that DR2 would be a good deal for $20. Ugh...not really. Really, I just paid $20 to get frustrated and curse a lot really loudly. Here's why: 1) Timed missions: you have a set amount of time to complete missions, so even though it seems like a "sandbox" game, it ain't. So that stinks. 2) Save points. Too few and far between. Period. 3) Redundant play: Slaughter zombies. Go up against mini-bosses who are way WAYYY too tough (comparatively speaking). Lather.
Summary: well the game is fun and the fact that you can beat a zombie with just about enything in the area is great. the graphics are outstanding and the cinema cuts are top notch. but if your are like me and truly want to enjoy the game. i warn you its 3rd person view and to me that takes alot away from the game. guns are hard to use and in a zombie pile fight you loose sight of your character and that is frustrating. over all its a good game.
