Dead Hungry Diner

  • Conclusion: These issues are relatively minor, however, and as a package Dead Hungry Diner is good looking, charming, surprisingly nuanced and well featured. The repetitious nature of the core mechanic is tempered with the variety of customer types and the inclusion of the unpredictable (such as when Vanda Helsing appears to curse your chomping diners) going some way to achieving the ‘just one more go’-factor on which games of this type thrive.

Review: Dead Hungry Diner

  • Conclusion: Dead Hungry Diner looks brilliant and has a charming art style and catchy soundtrack that fits the mood perfectly. It’s as addictive as any other game in the genre, and you’ll get a thrill out of the frantic and exciting gameplay. The game looks polished, and it’s a joy to look at and play. There are some frustrations here and there, and you’ll most likely need a break from the frustrations this game creates, but what game doesn’t have these moments?

  • Pros: Decent playing time. Stellar production values. A top-notch atmosphere. The addition of spells feels very unique and fresh. Hilarious animations.
  • Cons: Controls could be more clear in some respects. Decorative upgrades would have been nice.
