Summary: I was utterly fascinated with the concept of a time traveling shooter and eagerly picked up Darkest of Days. Right out of the gate my hopes got a quick reality check.Darkest of Days tries to put you in the middle of the battle and does a good job when it forces you to play the part you've "jumped"...
Summary: I like this game and have played it through a couple of times. The hardest part for me "Stairway to Petrovich", where you're in a Zeppelin getting peppered by Germans. I can't get through this on hard mode as the thing invariably blows up.
Pros: This is a fun game, but not of the caliber of some of the most recent games out there. The concept, going back in time with modern weapons is what drew me to the game. In that respect it worked out pretty good, and overall it's an OK game (for about $20.)
Cons: Voice acting, with the exception of Dexter, stank. It has a very closed in feeling; a very linear progress that worked OK but cheapened the experience. The period guns are neat, and the modern weapons work out OK, but probably could have been better. The AI is somewhat lame, though they will all ...
Summary: 2ed review after i finished the game i dont mind supporting games that dont make me sign my rights away, get an account just to load there game [steam] , or have online account to play there game

Cons: could not get patches to install kinda short kinda easy ,, dumb a.i , controal set up
Summary: got nvidia cards in sli with latest physix drivers 8800's with settings on high barely gets going with physix set to lowest setting runs good dont know whats up with that
Pros: DID NOT PAY $36.99 SEEMS OK FOR A TIME KILL SHOOTER A $20 GAME AT MOST $10 WERE IT SHOULD BE
Cons: JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY HERE overwrites newer drivers and programs with old ones [not good] 1/2 but keyboard controals will try patches and see i seem to get stuck in map and cant finnish map crazy i guess i'll start it over and do objectiyes in the right order to compleat
Summary: What made me attracted to this game was the prospect of mass infantry battles, mainly the civil war era with musketeers. I wasn't dissapointed with that part, but everyone else is downhill. NOTE: CONTAINS WEAPON SPOILERS Pros -Epic battles, especially the Civil War era battles.
Summary: Brilliant concept, so-so execution. First of all the graphics are very sub-par for today's standards yet the thing still manages to lag like crazy on my phenom II x3 710, 9800gt 1gb, 4gb ram system.
Summary: After a not so good expirience with the tech support for this game, overall it is not too bad. The problem was, that a .dll file in Vista, made it not playable and it took over three weeks and the loss of one of the support requests, to resolve this issue.
Summary: This one looked like fun and started out well but am having difficulties in the WWI mode with the dang gas mask blocking my view of the necessary map to move to the next quest thing....so three stars it is til I figure out the issue on a later update......maybe

A fantastic civil war game marred by the inclusion of pointless sci fi

Summary: Darkest of days is an interesting little endeavor- a first person war simulator that delivers battlefields with hundreds of combatants and lush, organic landscapes. The game is spread across several time periods, as the player takes the role of a time-traveling policeman of sorts.
