Summary: This is an excellent Civil War type game. If you are fan of civil war games, instead of purchasing any of the civil war games out there like the History Channel ones, this one offers more action and gore. Despite it being a Futuristic game, I never use any of the futuristic weapons because it ruins what could have been a great civil war game had they dropped the futuristic theme and cut the ww1 battles.
Playing this is like watching a B-Movie, in the best way.

Summary: If you like B-movies, you might like this game. It isn't a good game, but it is fun. The concept is a blast, but the gameplay, graphics, writing, etc. are all sub-par. That said, if you find yourself watching B-movies for fun, this is still a good game to play through. You'll get some laughs, at least.
A fantastic civil war game marred by the inclusion of pointless sci fi

Summary: Darkest of days is an interesting little endeavor- a first person war simulator that delivers battlefields with hundreds of combatants and lush, organic landscapes. The game is spread across several time periods, as the player takes the role of a time-traveling policeman of sorts. Supposedly KIA at Little Bighorn, you are in fact rescued from certain death to right errors in history.
Summary: This one looked like fun and started out well but am having difficulties in the WWI mode with the dang gas mask blocking my view of the necessary map to move to the next quest thing....so three stars it is til I figure out the issue on a later update.....
Summary: Developed by 8monkey Labs and published by Phantom EFX in 2009, Darkest of Days is a FPS that takes the player through time where you fight in historic battles in efforts to save key individuals from certain death. Battles cover various time periods including the Great Sioux War, American Civil War, World War I, World War II and even during the fiery destruction of Pompeii.
Summary: What made me attracted to this game was the prospect of mass infantry battles, mainly the civil war era with musketeers. I wasn't dissapointed with that part, but everyone else is downhill. NOTE: CONTAINS WEAPON SPOILERS Pros -Epic battles, especially the Civil War era battles. My favorite part had you walking in line towards the enemy and firing at the enemy line. So, so epic. Reminds of Empire Total War in FPS. -Using future weapons to kill enemy troops using muskets.
Summary: I really like this game. The concept is cool and enjoyable. I didn't rate it higher because the execution was a little lacking. The game needed more polish to be worth almost a full price game. Was fun to play, I look forward to future installments as well as more from this company.
Summary: After a not so good expirience with the tech support for this game, overall it is not too bad. The problem was, that a .dll file in Vista, made it not playable and it took over three weeks and the loss of one of the support requests, to resolve this issue. As a positive for the tech support staff, they remained proffessional despite my terse responses. I removed my original review and upgraded the star rating, to reflect that.
Summary: Brilliant concept, so-so execution. First of all the graphics are very sub-par for today's standards yet the thing still manages to lag like crazy on my phenom II x3 710, 9800gt 1gb, 4gb ram system. I know my rig isn't the top of the line but it can handle games that are much more graphically intense than this without a hiccup. It did make me feel nostalgic for Deus Ex because that's what it looks like.
