Summary: I won't bother gushing over the highs and lows of this game, as they are already masterfully covered by other reviews. What I do intend to talk about, however, is the controls. Yes, this game was meant to be played with a controller. However, that does not mean that you have to use a controller.
Summary: Good lord, this game is hard. Yet, for some reason I keep coming back for more. In fact, my wife sometimes asks me, "you don't seem to be having fun, why do you keep playing?" I really have to think about it to come up with a reasonable answer. The atmosphere of this game is very unique; it is sort of lonely and sad, but also very beautiful and at times awe-inspiring.
Summary: The deepest, most rewarding gameplay in recent memory. Obscure, but incredible story that is incredibly fruitful, but must be uncovered and discovered. Atmosphere, sound design, music, and level design are all incredible. Half hack-and-slash, half action-adventure RPG. The game's tight combat system incorporates precise hitboxes and realistic weapon swings which allows the character to feel like a direct and ultra-reactive extension of the player.
Summary: It is difficult to say anything about this game that hasn't been said a millon times before. All I can say is: try it if you haven't, play this right now. And don't bother yourself with pirate copies or anything like that. This game includes the most original online experience that I've ever seen in a game.
Summary: This game starts you from scratch. You learn only from experience and are forced to create strategies to further yourself in the game. after you beat a boss the game really envelops you and turns the game almost into an addiction. the game is hard but it is fair. its possible in my opinion to go through the whole game without leveling up at all. all-though that would make the game very, very hard.
Summary: This game is challenging, exciting, somewhat scary, and action packed. Just the title says it all "Prepare to Die" because you will... A LOT! Dark Souls PTDE was rated 9/10 by IGN so if that doesn't tell you something, then I don't know what will. If you buy this game you will not be disappointed. When my friend visited me (my friend is a big PC gamer)he brought his laptop and was like ,"You've got to see this game, here I'll make you an avatar.
Summary: Dark Souls is on my list of one of the best games ever made, period. It has never been 'hailed in the media' or gotten a ton of gaming press, but it has a large following of die-hard fans that continue to play and enjoy the game together. It has also influenced a lot of recent games being announced - especially with its wonderfully unique multiplayer setup. If you like a good challenge, this game is awesome.
Summary: This game is brilliant, the layout is incredible, the game play is amazing, the combat is intense but precise. This isn't a game that you can just rush through, you can't take on many enemies at once, and you certainly can't just casually play it. With this game, the challenge is the reward. Taking so many attempts just to beat a boss, just makes beating it all the more rewarding.
