Excerpt: Dark Secrets is the first game from indie developer DreamCraft Entertainment. Established in 2010, the small game company based in Skövde, Sweden has a goal (according to the developer) to create games with immersion and depth that bring the players into the game. Dark Secrets is a promising title toward this creative direction, though not without some notable flaws. Dark Secrets is a first-person adventure game.
Excerpt: “There’s nothing we can’t face; except for bunnies” – Anya, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Hailing from Sweden, this first person debut from DreamCraft Entertainment is a mixed blessing. It gets top marks for creating a big, open, "go anywhere" world – but fewer marks for most everything else.
Conclusion: Somehow, through it all you kind of get what the developers had in mind, and it’s clear they spent a lot of time getting the 3D environments looking good and the physics engine doing impressive stuff. Unfortunately, these attributes are buried under the mountain of problems, and it’s simply inexcusable to release a game this flawed instead of spending a few more months testing, fixing bugs and translating properly.
