Good Try, But Try Again

Excerpt: Dark Messiah is a good attempt at an action game in a fantasy setting, an evolutionary step in the Source engine. The problem is it isn't a very great gaming experience, period. First the good: - The technology itself makes the game compelling.
Excerpt: this game was by no means amazing, but it was good and i enjoyed it a lot more than Oblivion. I understand you had trouble running this game and i can see it affected the score. You just happened to have an incompatible set up unfortunately. I ran it fine on an Intel 3ghz,6600GT on medium.
Summary: The game honestly isn't that bad, but it's not that good either. When you first start it it's pretty good. The fighting is fun and the storyline is passable. As you continue on they start to skimp on the story and you get tired of kicking every enemy you find off the edge, into spikes, into a fire,...
Pros: Good graphics, gameplay and storyline are pretty good for the first 5 or 6 hours. Good ambient sound and music. Multiplayer is amusing.
Cons: One trick pony. By the end of the game you'll be sick of seeing spider liars. Storyline is very obvious from the start and offers no plot twist. Extremely linear. There's 2 variations of 2 endings...the variations make almost no difference and both endings are equally bad.
Summary: At first Dark Messiah feels a bit like a watered-down, linear version of Oblivion, but that impression doesn't last too long. It's very easy to pick up, and actually feels like the game that Prince of Persia should have been.
Summary: If you are having problems with the game crashing like I am go into options and lower all the settings. My game still crashes but not as much as before I changed the settings. I hope this helps. When the game actually works it is a fun and exciting game.
Summary: BUG's, BUG's, BUG's thats what this game is full of from the second you start playing it and i did not like the way your push in at the deep end. At the begining your outside of a town the sun shining you get the picture then CRASH a demon and other unearthly creature's come running out of a warp...
Summary: Despite all the problems, the game itself is really fun to play! The Pros: Dark Messiah Might and Magic is the type of computer game I really enjoy, that being primarily a FPS combined with touch of RPG; if you like System Shock or Deus Ex then I'm sure this game will be of interest to you.
Summary: I agree with the other reviewers, this is a briliant game and the most satisfying hack and slash/RPG I have ever played. Unfortunately there is a big problem.....The game suffers from random crashes on the higher graphics settings, so although it is a beautiful game, you dont get to see it in all...
