Summary: Its hard to play a game... that sucks so much. Stupid mechanics and terrible movement. An okay story that a elementary school kid could have wrote. Its not even worth giving a try. I recommend going back to the page you came from... and finding something better...
Summary: I would give this 4 stars for the game itself and a 0 for the technical snafu that came with it so I'm giving it 1 star so others can expect a better gaming experience if developers listen. I really enjoyed the game after I got it up and running. Plenty of locations with beautiful graphics, multi-character sim and a decent plot. I liked the first Cherai a little more, but I also enjoyed this one quite a bit.
Read Trials of Atlantis and see what people think of Mythic

Summary: If you're going to give this company your hard earned dollars, read what kind of garbage they are putting out. If you're new, read the reviews and see for yourself. That's all anyone expects from you. I'll tell you that many many people are unhappy with Mythic. This expansion looks to be no different. The last 2 expansions Mythic put out, Trials of Atlantis (retail) and New Frontiers ('free'), have been uniformly detested by their playerbase.
Summary: ..what direction Mythic is going with DAOC. They are trying to create 'campfests'. That is, having you devote hours of steady time to this game. What this does is it forces casual players to leave the game. The subscriber base is dwindling. Players are upset at Mythic. Overall, I think you'll be much happier with World of Warcraft or Everquest II.
Summary: Look at the review of their horribly-done Trials of Atlantis. You'll know whether to purchase this or not. Oh, and if you're a new player, forget about DAOC. It will be 2 years before you'll have a character that can compete.
Summary: I played this game for a total of 45 minutes, then returned it to the store for a refund. The flow of the game is very klunky -- the narrator keeps repeating the same instructions over and over again. There is no ability to move around in the environments. Then, to top it all off, it crashed my PC. Very poor quality. I can't believe a software manufacturer would have allowed this junk to go out the door. Buy something else -- ANYTHING else.
Summary: I don't understand who likes this game? The graphics are VERY ancient. There also is no adventure to this game. The only thing you do is level, and level, and level. The adventure tasks that your trainer gives you have about 30 words in them, that's all. 30 words that's all, thats the big adventure in this game? To show that your in a city, there are 4 or 5 stones around in a circle, thats it. I think a high school student could of done a much better job.
Summary: This game was just outstanding, up to there Trials of Atlants. ToA, changed all formats of the game. You now need not only just a level 50 but the ToA to just survive in this game. If you are looking for the great reviews of the game of DAoC, they are gone. Anyone starting out new will have the worst time in leveling because all that have level 50 char's do /level 20, so the new person on the block is for the most part out.
