List All 1 PricesLet's get the obvious stuff out of the way up front. On a properly configured Vista machine with DirectX 10 hardware, Crysis is the best-looking game we've ever played. Its jungle environments are lush and realistic, with plenty of wide-open areas and just a handful of loading screens in the entire game. This incredible level of graphical detail is what PC gaming is all about. Screenshots don't do this game justice. Seeing Crysis in action will take your breath away. Read more
It's so difficult to sum up a great game. What more can be said about an almost perfect game. Earlier this year we were struck by the Bioshock phenomenon and a lot of people have uttered "perfect" when the game was over. The game had some serious problems but the gamers ignored them because everything else was fabulous. Well, Crysis doesn't have any problems and there are little to none issues that I can think of. I can even say it out loud: the game is almost perfect. Read more
Crytek's sophomore effort offers fresh gameplay and some of the most graphically stunning spectacles ever seen on a PC... if your rig can handle it. Read more
Experienced gamers are liable to acknowledge this as one of the top action games this year and that's okay with us. Everything that made Far Cry good was successfully taken to the next level in Crysis (with the possible exception of the AI). Even if we are looking at one of the biggest hardware hogs ever to grace the PC platform, and despite the AI issues, this first-person shooter comes highly recommended from us. Read more
I find it amusing when hype surrounding a game focuses solely on aspects other than how the game actually plays. Read more

Crysis simply begs to be played and can be placed alongside such PC greats as Half-Life and BioShock. It's hard, action packed, tactical and utterly amazing to look at. Read more
The plot is rather strange In Crysis, you take control of a US Special Forces elite member that’s equipped with a high-tech nanosuit in a search and rescue operation in the Philippines. An archaeological expedition has stumbled upon something that got the Koreans interested so they took over the entire operation comprised of US citizens. As expected, DoD could not sit idle so they authorized deployment of their most elite squad to investigate and free the hostages. Read more
Crysis is a wonderful game! Magnificent gameplay in both single- and multiplayer, unseen graphical marvels and audio. Ladies and gentlemen, this has to be THE PC-gaming experience of the past two years and I expect it to be for the coming couple of years as wel. Although the game really comes to life on a DX10 machine with Vista, you won’t be disappointed when playing while using DX9. Read more
Many publishers opt for Turn-Based adaptations of their Real-Time strategy franchises when going handheld. In most cases, this is a good choice as successfully implementing Real-Time gameplay on vast maps for handhelds is incredibly difficult. With Dawn of Discovery for the DS, Ubisoft chose to remain true to the Real-Time format and gets away with this incredibly well. One to buy! Read more
I'm not going to rehash the other reviews that are detailed and good, so I'll narrow it down a lot to some specifics. It isn't terribly expensive (if at all) to have a DirectX 10 capable computer these days; there's a noticeable difference in visual quality when playing this game in DirectX 10 versus 9. It's only $39.99 for three games in one package. Just beware that you'll still need to get the latest patches to play everything as smoothly as possible. Read more
I am sort of disappointed that they made the graphics so inefficient. Some modern games like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge manage to be fantastic looking and not obscenely difficult to run. I think they should have spent more money making the game have efficient visuals so you don't need a tri-SLI and OC your whatever to run the game at its full settings. Read more
In my opinion this game plays well and is enjoyable on a older P-4 with a Nvidia 8600GT. But it still plays at a low graphics setting. Too bad, because many will not be able to afford what Crysis really wants in a card. I know I can't. I am sure it will leave many feeling shorted because the game requires so much graphics power, that they cannot experience the game fully.I feel that way, and believe I paid for a game that I can only get 2/3rds use out of it. Crysis is an open-ended first-person shooter game with many ways to meet objectives. The player controls a special forces soldier codenamed Nomad whose weapons can be customized without pausing the flow of time, for example changing firing modes, changing scopes or adding sound suppressors. The player is also capable of selecting various modes in Nomad's military prototype "Nano Suit" which draw power from the suit's energy. Read more

Overall the game is fantastic and definitely worth playing if you have the machine for it. Its fun as well as action packed, you can stare in awe at the pretty environments or you can destroy them at will, or sit there stealthily watching and listening to the AI interact with each other. The end boss fight is incredible to watch and battle, and has been one the best I've seen in a while. Read more
