Summary: The original Crysis , although demanding in hardware and harboring a benign version of SecuROM, was a worthy successor to FAR CRY: high quality graphics, interactive environment and fast paced action (OK, except the space stage), what was there not to like?! CRYSIS-WARHEAD, its standalone sequel, was bound to do well. But it will not. Here is why.
Summary: Pros It has excellent graphics, of course. It is more fast paced than crysis. It has a more involved storyline. I like the way the plot unfolds in this better than the original crysis. You work more with other players than crysis. It has a couple new weapons, but not really anything worth getting excited over. Cons One level in particular refuses to load. "Under the Thunder" freezes while loading, leaving the game unplayable after a certain point.
Summary: All as expected from a game continuation. That's OK because it's as good as Crysis, but honestly the shortest add-on I've ever played. Fun, but over in about 2 hours. Wait until it lowers in price for it to be worth buying.
Summary: If you enjoyed the original Crysis as I did, you will enjoy Warhead equally. There is nothing I find really unique or revolutionary, just more of the same. There are far too few times you are fighting with a (npc) squad, but the communication audio commentary is fun to listen too. The slight tweeks to weapons and gameplay, but I have found that my play-style remains un-changed from the first game. Stealth will still be your friend unless you are a Run n' Gun "Doom" fan.
