Summary: Good single player game too bad no more online play because the server had been taken down never got a chance to play online they should change the description to single player instead of multi
Summary: I read the reviews and bought this game because I really wanted to buy Crysis 3, but wanted to play this one first to get a sense of the game. Well the game itself is great. I enjoy a wide variety of single player FPS, and this one is no exception. Rather thin on the storyline, very linear in play (as in, you cannot really veer off the storyline to go "explore" the world), but other than that, a good romp.
Summary: Gameplay progress is linear, that is, there is only one defined route directing you through a scene. This is as opposed to an open world game such as Fallout or Far Cry where you can wander freely and progress randomly through the game. FEAR is simply forcing the player to follow the cook book story line. The one advantage this game had was the ability to skip over the long, tedious and unnecessary cut scenes setting up the supposed motive behind your next quest.
Summary: The installation is okay and the game itself is close to the original Xbox 360 Crysis 2, but this Disk depends on a program call "EA Download Manager". My Problem is that this PC version came not with the original Crysis 2 artwork and case, but an alternative version, yellow border cover with it's crysis 2 clip on the from of the box and stating the word "Classic" on the cover. I assume I was buying what was display on the page.
