Excerpt: This is EA sports newest motto that if something is in a game, it will appear in the computer game. However, in the case of cricket 2000 this is not the case. The game is based on international cricket and features all the major teams such as England, Australia and the West Indies, as well as smaller less renowned teams such as Scotland and Bangladesh. The game basically has 4 functions, training, one-day match, World Cup and the super six competition.
Pros: Good idea, quite nice bowling
Cons: Poor graphics, easily cheated, boring after a while
Excerpt: Well, EA Sports - Cricket-2000 is a nice attempt in the pc cricket games. It is realistic , the graphics are superb, details regarding each player and team available, world cup -1999 tournament available, details of stadiums and pitch reports available, expert commentators like Sir Richie Benaud and Sir David Gower. Other advantages :- Users will enjoy the bowling options available in this game.
Pros: Nice Graphics, Nice commentary by the experts,Detailed pitch reports, stadium details, competitive game
Cons: stumpings option not working,no variety of tournaments available, not so competitive and ongoing nowadays
Excerpt: i bought cricket 2000 last year. it is excellant cricket game. it has oneday supersixes and worldcup matches. it is very good and i would recommand it all the cricket lovers out there because it teaches you and shows what are the advantages and disadvantages of playing a certain shorts. supersixes matches shows you how important it is to hit sixes. this cricket pc game i think is for everyone if you play it you will improve your cricker skills.
Excerpt: I am a big cricket fan, and have always been impressed with EA's sport-games. However, it is difficult to believe that Cricket 2000 was produced by the same company that did the excellent FIFA series of football games. Let's start with the good things. The graphics and sound are fine, the amount of stadium and player info is fantastic and the commentary is decent. Unfortunately this is where it stops. The key to sport-games is playability and realism.
Pros: Very few
Cons: Bad playability, boring bowling and no fielding
Excerpt: This game needs absolutely no introduction: why? Because it's so bad. Brian Lara Cricket is miles better than this will ever be! This game offers no challenge, you still get the same one day games, and you can bowl out teams like Australia for 2. At least EA make games with good graphics, I thought. Wrong. The grounds look very unrealistic, and the players don't seem to have the same fluid movements as in Brian Lara.
Excerpt: I really miss Brian Lara's cricket on the Sega Megadrive. What a fantastic game!. Then, I saw this arrive, and thought it would surely be an improvement. It looks fabulous. Plenty of grounds to choose from (including Amsterdam & Edinburgh??), a fine database of players (that look like the players - no white Devon Malcolm's here!),superb sound quality, and commentary from Gower & Benaud. It all looked so promising. Now the bad bit - the playability.
Excerpt: So i bought the game, installed it, everything looked fine, started playing it, I was very impressed. Most cricket games are boring right from the start but it wasn't until I was at least 3 weeks in that I got bored of it. I only got bored of it for 1 reason. It is so easy to win everything season after season.
Pros: Great game, good idea, very easy navigation and excellent layout
Excerpt: ok ill be truthful! i dont like cricket but having sed that, this game truley id great!! i thik that this game is betta then the real thing! the graphics are great and the sound are so reolistic, its as if u are really there!! the game play is good and i can see this game going places! maybe in the top 5 in the game charts thats how much i like this game! trully is great and u should definatly go out and buy it! trust me if u dont like cricket, it wont matter!!!
Excerpt: I bought this game as I am a big cricket fan. When I install the game things looked fine. I was impressed with the huge database of players and the motion captured animation. Also impressive was the commentary - so many times in a computer game you get commentary that doesn't flow properly but here David Gower and Richie Benaud have done a fine job. I also found the controls easy to master which I like in a game.
Pros: Great graphics, animation, sound . Huge database of players
Cons: Poor gameplay . Australia were 18 all out ! !
Excerpt: I purchased Cricket 2000 at the bargain price of £19.99 from my local PC store. I have played many cricket games but none of them can compare to EA Sports Cricket 2000. As soon as you start the game, you are greeted with a menu: 1. One-day international. 2. Cricket World Cup 3. Super Six Tournament 4. Practice. The first option is a One-Day international.
