Summary: This game is excellent for all ages. It's a game where inventiveness and thinking outside the box is crucial. You don't have to be a teenager with rapid-fire reflexes to excel. I'm an over-50 Mom and I have as much fun and do as well as my teenagers. The puzzles do progress to more difficulty fairly quickly, so a pre-teen may need help, but collaberating can be half the fun.
Summary: I am a disabled machinist/ mechanic, and I miss the trade terribly, but with this humorous puzzle game I am able to tinker, if only virtually. This is a lighthearted brainteaser. If you enjoy playing with gears, pulleys, explosives then this game is for you.
Great game, but make sure you have the computer specs!

Summary: I have Crazy Machines 1 and 1.5. Loved both games and they ran great! When I bought CM 2 however, I placed it in my computer to installed the game, the cogs kept spinning and it wouldn't start. I e-mailed Viva Media's customer/tech support and they explained to me that the problem was my computer. The system requirements for CM 2 are more demanding than CM 1 or 1.5 and I did not have the proper video/graphics card to play it.
Summary: I've been playing this game on and off. At the beginning, they were pretty easy and as you progress through they get more difficult as they add more items for you to use. Great game to keep you thinking and the graphics are well done. This is a great game for those that are mechanical or love puzzle games!
Summary: Hi, yet another great version, I definitely recommend it. Regarding the installation and working of the software, you need a graphics card that supports DirectX 9 or higher (I got one that supports version 10). You need it anyway when you e.g. want to use Microsoft's World Wide telescope (another great site for kids).
Summary: My son, like most boys, enjoys playing video games. So i try to at least steer him in the direction of games that include problem solving and are thought provoking. Crazy Machines 2 is really fantastic in this respect. I would much rather see my son spend an hour solving the puzzles in CM2 than an hour playing something mindless like Mario Super Sluggers.
Summary: My son absolutely adores this game (and all its predecessors). I was quite surprised to see the number of negative reviews. It is true that our computer has frozen on it a couple of times, but I don't see this as a huge crisis for a game that my son has spent so much time enjoying so thoroughly! It is a very graphics-intensive game, so you should be sure your computer is up for it before getting it.
