Expert Review

EGC GAMES
4 December 2007
  • Excerpt: If you haven’t figured out yet, Opposing Fronts is a not-so-stand alone expansion. Let me elaborate a little. During the installation process, the game checks if there’s the original Company of Heroes installed on your hard drive. If that is the case, it first uninstalls it –along with any mods that are present- before installing Opposing Fronts. It’s a dubious way to start the day you might say.
  • Pros: Two new campaigns, polished graphics and sound
  • Cons: Installation is a hassle, dubious copy protection system, feels semi-finished

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

ActionTrip
9 October 2007
  • Conclusion: To wrap things up, Opposing Fronts is a worthy continuation to the original Company of Heroes and is every bit as enjoyable. You'll have fun with the realistic tactical combat, as you blow up buildings or use them as shelter, launch powerful mortar attacks, destroy enemy tanks and then utilize the wreckage as cover for your infantry and so on. In terms of tactics, the possibilities are almost endless.
  • Pros: Every bit as fun as the original, enough new content to keep you occupied for days;
  • Cons: Nothing exceptionally new; might be a handful for newbies, some path-finding and collision issues.

GameSpot
26 September 2007
  • Summary: Opposing Fronts is a satisfying follow-up to last year's thrilling Company of Heroes, packing more of the intense World War II real-time strategy action.
  • Pros: World War II real-time strategy doesn't get better than this, Fully destructible battlefield opens up tactical playbook, Graphics remain sharp and polished, Wonderfully immersive audio and stirring music
  • Cons: New factions might be a handful for newcomers to Company of Heroes

  • Excerpt: When Relic first introduced Company of Heroes a little over 12 months ago, the game was widely regarded as being somewhat of a marvel. Along had come a game that took the rapidly staling real-time strategy genre and moulded it into something fresh and innovative…

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

Fragland
27 June 2012

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Fragland
19 June 2012
The Two Towers biedt veel en afwisselende actie doorheen diverse locaties uit 2 Lord of the Rings films. The Two Towers is kortom een aanrader voor elke LOTR fan!

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

GameQuarter3
1 August 2010
  • Pros: Stand alone, Twee nieuwe facties
  • Cons: Weinig vernieuwing
