Summary: The DLC is great in terms of the new factions. Both factions do not build bases the oberkommandos are much like the british in coh 1 while the american forces have a prebuilt base that requires higher echelon troops to unlock buildings which gives an entirely different feel to the game. From what i've seen on the oberkommando side they have good troop variety and can even use one of their main base trucks as a powerful flak cannon.
Summary: Brought Company of Heroes 2 to where it needs to be. Many new additions. Better sound. Better gameplay. More units. More fun! Graphics also seem to be improved. This is the true successor to Company of Heroes. 10/10! :) Fun for an substantially indefinite amount of hours.
Summary: As an admirer and fan of this game franchise I can say Company of Heroes finally returns more to its origins of the original game with this update. The expansion game is multiplayer oriented and is now a lot more dynamic offering many new strategies and units to use. The pace feels steady and is no longer hampered by long range tanks that would stall games. This expansion puts a much needed breathe of fresh life into the existing game.
Summary: Even though I would've loved seeing additional campaigns along with this expansion, and I would've preferred seeing perhaps the French-Italian wars instead, this expansion really surprised me. The new factions are extremely diverse, extremely fun to use and yet remains fairly balanced. For 20€ you won't be disappointed!
Summary: It's amazing how much of a difference Western Front Armies has brought to the game. The factions are a breath of fresh air, different and unique enough to the extent that I dont see myself playing the Soviet or German forces for a while. Also shocking is how balanced the factions are, which is unprecedented. Granted there will likely be a few tweaks on a few units soon enough, but all things considered, it's quite an excellent feat.
