Summary: I am disappointed, though not surprised, that the older games weren't tweaked for newer equipment. It may be possible that there is a video card issue causing my problems getting the oldest two games running, so here's my equipment: i7 930 running at 2.8GHz 6GB Corsair DDR3 1600 running at 1333MHz...
Pros: I love all of these games and was glad to see the cheap combo pack of them. Installation went through perfectly. C&C Tiberian Sun and later games played immediately.
Cons: Two major issues came up. 1: C&C1 will not play correctly on my Windows 7 computer. It tries and fails spectacularly. 2: C&C:RA1 will not play correctly on my Windows 7 computer. There are all sorts of wrong color issues that will not disappear. All other games play without issue. Be aware that t...
Pros: Excellent Games, over 10 games for less than 30 bucks? Amazing. 10 years of my childhood are spent on C&C, each was a reasonable hit, and still keeps on truckin. (Just don't try C&C 4, that's an abomination)
Cons: Do your shopping. This game is actually $20 other retailers.
Summary: I have had this game for years now, I think I have worn the disk out! It's time to get a new one!
Pros: Good, fun game play. I keep going back to Generals, and Generals Zero Hour! They will play in Windows 7 64 Bit, however the graphics do weird things. For instance, there are no trees etc showing, just the buildings, and hills, and water. It's funny because I can play this in Windows XP 32 Bit, an...
Cons: The only con is that which I stated above about the trees etc.
Summary: if you like strategy games, this package is really worth it. So many different games to choose from.
Pros: The price for what you get is amazingly unfair in the CONSUMERS favor! You get 12 full games for the price of 1-2! The best part about this is that most of the games also have 2-3 other teams you can play on, with an entirely new storyline. Generals is my favorite because it has the best video qu...
Cons: Doesn't have red alert 3 or Command and conquer 3. but in respect, they both came out after this package.
Summary: But other than that it's a great price, if your actually going to play them. I just forgot how old these games actually are, so I have been playing C&C 3 which I purchased at the same time over these. But it's still a deal.
Pros: Old school C&C/red alert games brings back good times.
Cons: Not fully compatible with one of the following my 9600GT or my windows 7 x64. It's probably the graphics card. The movies on the older of the games are distorted, green splotches where there shouldn't be any.
Cons: Includes C&C: General, the black sheep of the C&C line. Very Addicting. Likely to cause social relationships to suffer. Somewhat shallow AI, but that's only in comparison to contemporary games. For it's time it's AI was the DaVinci of bots.
Summary: If you don't play LAN, skirmish or online modes, go for it! The single player story line mode works fine in Zero Hour. Still, though, I wouldn't reward EA for its incompetence and thoughtlessness in failing to handle the issues with Zero Hour.
Pros: Great game design, for the most part, although there are some imbalances in, perhaps, Yuri's Revenge that lead to less than challenging game play against the AI.
Cons: You can't play Generals: Zero Hour reliably in skirmish or multiplayer LAN modes. The game either loses network synch or crashes with a serious error very frequently, and the consensus among users is that this is a result of bad coding and a refusal on the part of EA games to fix the problem. I c...
Summary: this is an amazing deal on a huge set of a lot of amazing games!
Pros: $30 bucks for every c&c game except c&c 3, Kane's wrath, and RA 3 is an amazing deal! All those complaining about the price need to calculate how much each one of these games would cost you individually then tell me that it is too expensive.
Cons: lots of cd keys to enter during the install. only a small annoyance
