Summary: This is a good follow on to Sid's Civilization III (C3) which I also play. The play is a little slower than in C3 especially at the beginning. There is usually rapid meetings with other civilizations and the AI seems to be set for rapid conflict between developing nations by cutting off expansion quickly. All in all an excellent game.
Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present for my 15 yr old son. He had never heard of it and it took some cajoling to get him to try it. But once he did it was hard to get him off the computer. He gives it 4 stars.
Summary: Sid Meier is a gaming genius when it comes to simulations. And the Civilization franchise is proof of his ability to capture the essence of what makes a good turn-based simulation game worth playing, over and over again. Civ4 builds on the previous versions of this game and improves many areas that were either frustrating or just not possible with the technology available at the time.
