Excerpt: Released in 2005, City of Villains allowed the MMORPG community to play as a comic book villain of their own making. With a robust character creator, improved graphics and physics, five new classes and a new invention system, City of Villains improved upon the original City of Heroes. Eventually, the two games combined. Now a subscription of one allows you play the other as well.
Summary: I am nothing short of hooked on City of Heroes its a very quality game. I have created a few viallains and find this game ok but not overly impressive. The main reason I bought it was for the add on features like superhero bases using my salvage to build stuff etc... As far as buying it to play it is fun but I don't enjoy it as much as I do playing City Of Heroes.
Conclusion: i bought this game and was so happy it came a week after order i puut it in my computer loaded up fine, i went online and started an acount but they wont take maestro. after getting the bad stuff ot of the way everything looks awesome: create your own costume, create your person, save/destroy the large citys(have differents city for which one you play) i looked at reviews for this game it has got no lower than 4ish i just cant wait till i can play it.
Conclusion: Well I've just finished a 14 day trial of both games, and I have to say I'm blown away with how much fun this game is. Having played World of Warcraft since shortly after release at all levels of gameplay, I find the one major difference between both experiences is that I invariably come away from City of Heroes/Villains feeling that I've had fun, rather than simply endured a time sink designed to line some corporate vampires pockets.
Conclusion: Its a great game no doubt about it, the game story and background is very comic book hero type and the character customisation is varied and in depth with the new updates. One problem is if you're more of an action guy I'd stick to DC Universe online as its quite a bit more up to date.
