Summary: Another nice addition to the CiM series. Although I wish some more maps could be added to these instead of repeating maps for a campaign. Nevertheless great work! Always fun, though traffic can get annoying. Still that's something one should solve!
Summary: Steep Learning Curve, Then Dangerously Addictive I was on the fence over buying this. After all, how much fun can it be to run little busses, trams, and metro trains around a city? After playing for a couple hours, I was about ready to give it up. The instructions are skimpy and this game isn't very intuitive. Then I went to the website - there's a link for it at the bottom of the game's intro page - and read through the forum section.
Summary: These types of games are few and far between. They come from small development teams headquartered in God knows where. I can't imagine how few copies a game in which you plan public transit routes in and around European cities sells. There are bugs. Cars and pedestrians will occasionally sit on your tram tracks even if they have room to move forward. I experienced several crashes. The campaign mode's goals are often absurd but optional.
Summary: Like the previous reviewer, I am the type that enjoys the micro-managing aspects of a game. Sitting for hours watching little cars and buses whiz along is very enjoyable. If you're not that type, you probably won't make it very far before getting bored. That said, this game definitely makes for some enjoyable play time.
Summary: If you are like me and can sit for hours watching little trains, buses, helicopters and trams transport people through the city, you will find this game extremely satisfying. To my surprise the user interface is extremely functional, building new lines is a breeze so you can spend all your time enjoying the view and planning the lines. The passengers are well done - they keep in mind their budget, time to travel and the walking distance.
Summary: This is a really enjoyable game, great graphics and reasonably easy to use.
There is also a nice map editor, which is a bit hard to follow at first but once
you get the hang of it , it is a bit addictive. I do not have any problems with
it needing Steam to run but am aware that some people will.
There are some nice expansion cities available such as London or Paris but they
are only available via download.
