Summary: I downloaded the free trial of this game because the users gave this it rather high marks, even though the reviewers for the site gave it low marks. Well, in this instance, I TOTALLY agree with reviewers. If anything, they were kind. The start was intriguing; but it went quickly downhill from there. This game is described as an action/adventure, but I certainly did not see any; unless you think walking around aimlessly is an adventure.
Summary: The reviewer before me, Lori Taylor, summed up my exact feelings and experience with this game. Like it much better than The Scorpio Ritual because it was done much better. The story was more complete and the ending really did end the story. Love the graphics in this game with the flying ship ride especially. This game has been really underrated in my opinion, and there may be technical issues with it.
Summary: I enjoyed this game immensely. The characters, storyline, music score, and beautiful locations with 3D graphics which can be slowed down for ease in movement, drew me into this adventure with Sylvie as though I were there. It reminded me somewhat of Syberia I & 2, my favorite LF games. All of the dialogues, repeatedly interacting with people and places, are what builds the story and molds the characters.
Summary: Sylvie Leroux is back in this second installment of the Chronicles of Mystery series. I enjoyed the first game although there were many technical difficulties with that game. The Tree of Life has not improved over its predecessor by much in that respect. The game still has occasional jerky and lagging mouse action and long delays loading between scenes. A third person point and click adventure.
