Never got to play it

Trainlover Clause "Kurt", Amazon
21 December 2013
  • Summary: I never actually got to play this game. When I tried to play it went into a never ending loop asking me to install the game after it told me it was installed. I returned the game and got a refund, though I was never able to determine if the problem was with the game or my computer, though, from what...

Locomotion a Bit Too "Loco"!

peter--pan, Ebay
31 July 2008
  • Summary: Chris Sawyer had done yet another great job with graphics in a fun game of transport. I thoroughly enjoyed the creative freedom to design my own landscape, place initial buildings and assemble trains and route scenarios.

I like locomotion

Lyman Harvey Jessop, Amazon
3 June 2007
  • Summary: This game is fun and good, but i hate it that you have to fix the trains, buses, truck, and others.when the years go by all the working vehicles get old and break down then you have to put new vehicles,it is very disapointing while playing the game.

A Disappointment, sadly.

Woden325 "sirarnold", Amazon
30 December 2005
  • Summary: I bought this because I was a long-time fan of Transport Tycoon and Transport Tycoon Deluxe, and I was thrilled to see an updated version of these classic games. Unfortunately, Locomotion fails to live up to the high standard of gameplay set by TTD.

Good When It Works

J. McGuire "TransportFan", Amazon
13 August 2005
  • Summary: I became addicted to Locomotion, with a few reservations. But it suddenly stopped working (Problem with Loco.exe, contact Microsoft). Bought a second, after installation had problems then stopped working. Tech support has no idea about the cause.

Mixed Impressions

David Fiden, Amazon
17 September 2004
  • Summary: If you like trains, you'll probably like this game. If you liked Transport Tycoon, or Railroad Tycoon (and don't value graphics too much) you'll probably like this game. If you liked Rollercoaster Tycoon (it uses the same game engine), you might like this game depending on how much you like trains.

Fun, but not for all Rollercoaster Tycoon Fans

Griswel, Amazon
13 September 2004
  • Summary: This game is fun, but it's not for everyone the way Rollercoaster Tycoon was (heck, my sister, middle aged like me, played RCT, and she plays very few games of any kind). Locomotion has a simple premise, but it's tougher to get a handle on the game's mechanics than was true in Rollercoaster Tycoon.

A long awaited dissapointment.

Amazon
5 December 2005
  • Summary: When I saw that Chris Sawyer was making Locomotion, a sequel to Transport Tycoon I couldnt wait for its release. However I was very dissapointed. Whether you have played Transport Tycoon or not, Locomotion will provide you some fun, but it is not worth shelling out for it when you can pick up...
