A Must Play

Mark, Amazon

  • Summary: This game is fantastic. I love the watercolor style environments that the heroine must fight and navigate through. The characters who join her on her adventure are quirky. Each character has 3 ability trees to spec points in as you level them up, making them customizable. Gaining the right crystals to equip you characters with takes time, but I like that they get better as you combine them. The story reads like a fairytale. This game is a great game for any age.

I love the game because of its visual beauty

  • Summary: Child of Light is a very good game. Its best feature is its artistic value. Every single area you walk through is like a breath taking work of art. This is not an action game. It is a slow paced game in which the player is encouraged to wander and explore its rich 2D environments. The combat is turn based. In this case the game auto pauses before each attack, giving the player all the time they need to make their next attack choice.

Nothing too deep but great quick romp through a fun experience...

  • Summary: Fun, quirky, silly rhymes, beautiful fluid art, great soundtrack. I would have loved it if the studio was able to go deeper with the combat and crafting system. Understandably, for the price point, you have to make some tough editorial decisions.

  • Summary: Excellent game. Mind blowing graphics and art direction, great music (especially when using headphones) and the gameplay is addicting and fun. This is how a game on Vita should be done. You owe it to yourself to buy this game.

  • Summary: Fantastic game. The art style is nothing less than stunning. The music is hauntingly beautiful. The battle system is challenging without being too overwhelming. I played co-op with my 7-year-old daughter (she controlled the firefly) and she won't shut up about it. The biggest flaw is the dialogue, which is ENTIRELY in rhyme to keep with the storybook style. It gets a little wearisome. People always argue about whether video games can be considered art.
