Summary: Having played CM 97/98 and loving that I was really looking forward to playing this. One little criticsm I had of the previously mentioned game was that it could really have done with a LITTLE more depth. With CM3 I got that and more. There is padding a game out and then there is padding it out with confusing gibberish. No longer was I sure of what was the right approach to take, no longer could I be sure I had bought the right player.
Pros: depth, realistic, huge database of players
Cons: Too much depth? Too many variables, diffcult to fathom out what works and what doesnt
Excerpt: "I loved playing this game. I say loved, because I could only play a few seasons before the software gave up on me. It's probably just a conflict between my hardware, which is getting on a bit, and the game which is at it's minimum requirements. So I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Pros: Lots of options, if you've time on you're hands
Summary: This game when it was released was by far the best football managment simulation in the world. Forget fancy match graphics who needs them, football managment games are about stats & this game has them all. With a number of different leagues that you can play in it offers you the best insight into what being a football manager is like.
Summary: Wow, ive never seen such a massive amount of facts and figures, theres nothing you cant tweak in this game, from givig Keane his £52,000 a week from sacking the tea lady. This is the ultimate management sim, unfortunatley it is a little too deep , it takes ages to get to a game and then the wealth of tactical options are vast, too vast for me.
