Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Revelations

GameTrailers
31 March 2014
  • Excerpt: Coming just a month after Dracula's modern awakening, the Revelations DLC serves as a prologue to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, putting you in control of Alucard as he prepares the way for his father's return. These events may occur earlier in the timeline, but you shouldn't play this chapter before jumping in to the main game as it actually expands on one of the plot's most important turns.

  • Excerpt: You are Dracula. The Prince of Darkness, the dragon – Dracul. A villainous vampire lord turned moody anti-hero in Mercury Stream’s follow-up to the surprisingly enjoyable Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and its less enjoyable handheld sequel Mirror of Fate . With a trusty whip in tow and a slew of vampiric blood-sucking abilities at your disposal, you’ll go toe-to-toe with Satan’s demonic horde, battling his cronies and gargantuan monstrosities alike as they invade the...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Strategy Informer
3 March 2014
  • Conclusion: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 does some things alright and some things really well. The lack of anything not done before and the run of the mill story still leave the game a decent gaming experience, there’s still plenty to see and plenty to kill, and, as mentioned before, there is a great sense of games and level design competency which oozes from the seams.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2

BioGamer Girl
25 February 2014
  • Excerpt: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is the final release in the heralded action series from developer MercurySteam. The release takes players to a new setting for the franchise and allows players to see the world from a different view, as Dracula is the game's main protagonist for the first time ever. The change allows for players to experience the world with a variety of powerful new moves and weapons, though the game isn't always exciting as it could have been.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

GameTrailers
25 February 2014
  • Excerpt: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow holds a peculiar place in Konami's long-running vampire series. It's the highest-selling title in franchise history, but for some, it just doesn't feel like a true Castlevania game. Now developer MercurySteam is back to finish the tale they started, but can the modern-day Dracula tale told with Lords of Shadow 2 tap further into the lifeblood that's flowed through the series for over a quarter-century?

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - Review

GAME Group plc
26 February 2014
  • Excerpt: When Konami originally announced that MercurySteam was developing a new 3D Castlevania, more than a few people were sceptical of the potential outcome. The 2D Castlevania games are stellar additions to the franchise, but Konami hadn't had the best of luck transitioning the series to 3D.
  • Pros: Thankfully, the issues with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 are minor. The good far outweighs the bad, and anyone who enjoys Castlevania lore or action-packed gaming should definitely look into Konami's latest. It's not the best Castlevania game, but it's hard to live up to the greats in the series. Lords of Shadow 2 is a quality finale to the trilogy, and to a franchise that should delve into the next generation of consoles., Action-packed gameplay, Easy to pick-up, d...
