Summary: I got into gaming very late in life and I guess my chosen type of game is a first person shooter. That and being a product of the 50's cowboy movies/programs made this game attractive. Easy play and fun. I guess this game and it's visuals are antiquated by today's standards, but still enjoyable. Did I mention cost as a major consideration. I could and would not spend what is required to own a new release game.
Summary: I played the second one first, Bound in Blood, which was a better quality play. This one isn't bad, but Bound in Blood is playable over and over. The vendor I purchased it from worked out very well.
Summary: This game is real good. The only thing is that I felt that the game isn't long enough. I played it for 4 days and then I finished the whole game. That kind of disapointed me but the game is great.
Summary: The game is enjoyable, in a mindless sort of way. Some of the platforming puzzles get old since it's supposed to be a first person SHOOTER! The biggest problem is performance in DX10. I have a brand new rig that should have no trouble, and didn't for the first few chapters, and then it slowed to a crawl. All drivers updated, other games run great, so I can only assume it's the game.
Summary: It's been how long now? And I still think Lucas Arts Outlaws was the best Western first Person Shooter. Since that time the Western genre has been oft ignored and only recently had an upswing, with games such as Gun, Dead Man's Hand, and Desperadoes I and II. Still, nothing has been truly memorable and the "Call of Juarez" is no different. Story The story line is nothing unusual.
Conclusion: Some really good stuff but one big problem for me is that when you start game up the mouse and keyboard (via USB) don't work. Have to CTRL ALT DELETE and then re enter game. Annoying after a while - might be cause its Vista - req are for XP. Patch doesn't fix.
Es trägt den Namen Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
