Summary: I've noticed several people commenting on others hating Steam and quite frankly I would have to agree with the Steam haters. Steam really doesn't help any of the game manufacturers to the degree they believe they do. The game manufacturers believe they are stopping piracy by using Steam when in fact they are running off by far more business than they are preserving. They're losing a large section of those of us who purchase games legally and always have.
Summary: I played the first call of duty..and purchased this based on my experience with the first one. Just started the game and so afr I like it. Will update as I progress through the rest of the game. So far am impressed.
Summary: Call of duty 1 is one of my favorite WW2 games of all time. It is intense, and action-packed. Instead of just playing as a american, you play as many other countries too. It seemed like you where not a hero, but more of one soldier fighting in a endless war. This is a great game, but the reason i give it 4 stars is because the mac port of this game has a glitch. When you get to the level Dawnville (the 2nd or third i think) It comes up with a error message.
Outstanding but do not buy it bundled with United Offensive

Summary: The original COD is outstanding- easily the equivalent of the Modern Warfare games. The version I received from Amazon's seller was labelled as new but appears to be a UK knockoff. The discs for United Warfare have glitches that lock the game up. Even more perniciously they stop the game from being removed from your computer even though the game does not work.
Summary: On the pro side, the graphics in this program are better than some other first-person-shooter WWII games I have played. On the con side, in more than one occasion I have finished a segment, checked all the boxes, reached the designated finish point and the program did not close that segment. The only recourse I have found is to play that segment over and hope that the program would end properly.
Summary: Call of Duty is a pretty good WWII shooter. Personally, I prefer it to Medal of Honor. The graphics are good, the battles are reasonably historically accurate for a game, and the game is pretty fun overall. The main problem I have with the game is the linear pattern. The game makes it clear what way you can take to do something, even if it makes more sense to go another way.
Summary: This title is a few years old, yes. Still, it is a fast paced, well made game & the graphics are quite good. I recommend the game to anybody who likes a solid first person shooter and it can be had for very little $$$. How can you go wrong?
