Summary: Love the Call of Duty games even though this debut collection has dated graphics & performance. The price was great and I bought this for a second laptop for multi-player gaming with my son. The downloads took hours (through STEAM) and I needed to dedicate a lot of time tweaking the game/system parameters for performance and display issues. I still can't get the Call of Duty 2 multi-player to work - looks like key files are missing from the download.
Summary: CAN NOT GO ONLINE AT ALL BUT ONE PLAYER WORKED NOT REALLY WORTH IT IF YOU BUY SOMETHING IT SHOULD 100% WORK NOT HALF WORK IF I NEW BEFORE I WOULD NOT HAVE PAY FOR IT BUT HOPEFULLY ME POSTING THIS WILL STOP YOU FROM DOING THE SAME THING AND CALL OF DUTY 2 IS A BETTER GAME ONLINE
Summary: If you played Medal of Honor, then you've essentially played Call of Duty. Good graphics and challenging levels, but a slow-loading game. COD is essentially a rewrapped Medal of Honor game. An experienced FPS gamer should start at the upper experience levels, I found the regular level to be a bit unchallenging. The game runs okay with 256M RAM, but higher RAM should smooth out the jerkiness at some levels. This is an "okay" game, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.
Summary: When I first got this game, I thought it was awesome. Single Player mode was fun, but it's all scripted. As soon as you cross a certain point characters will come out blazing and getting shot. The AI isn't bad, but the enemy tanks all seem to magically know where you are. Which doesn't help considering they will kill you instantly with their machineguns or cannon. Grenades are pure BS. Multi-play games are all about grenade spam.
Summary: First off, I would like to correct certain gamers who believe this is the best thing since sliced bread: It isn't. Sure, you work as a team. Well, not really. The AI is pretty bad, and even when someone is not shooting at you, you are getting damaged. Hrm. Also kind weird when you're on one side of a cement wall and you've cleared the area. Also, restarting the game when you shoot a teammate? How dumb is that?
