Pros: don't require steam or any 3ed party involvement don't require internet connection to activate or load and play you own the full game on the disk not a disk that requires you to go to a 3ed party like steam to beg there permission to load and play and be forced to accept there downloads weather you want them or not in order to keep playing the game ..

Summary: I am new to first-person shooter video gaming. I'm 60 years old and grew up in the military. This product is excellent - it's well researched and very entertaining. Even though this is game has been on the market for years, and may be considered "old-school" by younger people it is still fun to play and was priced right. I will definitely be adding games from this series to my collection soon. I can't wait to see the Modern Warfare offerings.
Summary: I love this game. Super fun to play. It actually has a good storyline unlike these repetative ones that are coming out today. Nazi Zombies is also super fun. Runs great on windows 8. I use a Logitech 710 gamepad, and to use that or any other controller enter in the commands(enter by enabling in the setting and then pressing the key to the left of 1) exec default_controller.cfg.
Summary: If you are on the fence about buying this, then you are probably a big fan willing to jump back into the fray with this title. You remember how much fun it used to be and wonder if you will still find it fun. Well, let me promise you this: it is still a lot of fun. The graphics on PC are really pretty great. The sound is crisp and realistic. Firing these guns is perhaps the most satisfying quality of World at War. They sound and feel real.
