Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review
3 January 2012
Conclusion: 2011 will go down in gaming is one of the best years ever in gaming. Sure, it was slow early on but near the end we’ve been given so many solid titles gamers have been torn in terms of what to get this year. Passing up on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is not an option as it’s becoming part of our culture, but it would be easy to skip it for all the newer titles that have taken the gaming world by storm and your strapped for cash.
Conclusion: Firstly, players can now rank up their weapons
as well as their player. This works well because
it encourages the player to try out different
weapons and loadouts. The other new multiplayer
features are Kill Confirmed and Team Defender.
The former helps newer players because it
rewards you for picking up dog tags left by
fallen players, making it a good place to cut
Excerpt: It's safe to say that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is one of the hottest games of 2011. Even if you didn't hear about its five-day worldwide sell-through record of more than $775 million or its 1.4 million simultaneous users, you have probably noted that MW3 -licensed keyboards, mice, headsets, earbuds, controllers and consoles abound. Excerpt: Without a doubt one of the biggest releases of the year is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, at least if you factor in the millions of dollars spent by Activision hyping it up and making sure that every gamer knows it's coming. Excerpt: Call of Duty is a peculiar series. Each year it shifts millions of copies and is greeted with near unanimous critical praise, yet it also attracts a special kind of hatred from a vocal segment of the gaming community that consider it a microcosm of everything that is wrong with modern gaming. If Call of Duty is to be an acquired taste, then with Modern Warfare 3 it’s one that is more refined than ever.
Conclusion: Being comprehensive doesn’t necessarily mean "best" though. It’s no secret that Modern Warfare 3’s biggest rival this year comes in the form of EA DICE’s brilliant Battlefield 3 - a shooter which misses the target in its single-player form but is saved by its impeccable multiplayer mode. Which one you choose is ultimately up to personal preference, because even though on the surface they appear very similar, each offers a very different style of online play.
Pros: Relentless, over-the-top action throughout the campaign, A variety of addictive multiplayer and co-op modes, Stunning visuals and dramatic scenarios
Conclusion: Second Sight is: een frisse bries op een veel te broeierige zomerdag, het wapperen van een overwinningsvlag, een open raam in een veel te muffe klas. Kortom, Mario keek en zag dat het goed was!
