It will consist of isolated missions in a various settings that is unrelated to the main campaign story which is played in single-player mode. The “Special Forces” mode will support two-player cooperative play.

Features

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set after the end of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. As part of Task Force 141 lead by the previous games' protagonist, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, who returns as a non-playable character (and promoted to captain in the Special Air Service SAS), gamers will take part in an elite, multinational commando unit. This unit is tasked to counter the resurgent Russian Ultranationalist organisation lead by Vladimir Makarov, who is a former associate of Imran Zakhaev (CoD4's main enemy). The gamer will take on the role as Task Force member Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, and the game will take the player through Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This game will also feature the voice of Ken Lally, who previously provided motion capture work for Resident Evil 5, and will address the issue fo enemies respawning at different points of a level. This game is also rumoured to not be longer than the 6-10 hours of gameplay of Call of Duty 4.
