Summary: Neat graphics, but the whole story seems artificially scripted. Yes I know they're all scripted, but the earlier releases disguised it better. Also, they spend too much time on gimmicks like riding the dog. It's awkward and clumsy, and I just want to get past those sections and back to regular combat. I eventually got to a one point where I was manning a mounted machine gun with unlimited ammo, and mowing down opposing troops.
Summary: Very buggy ( as expected by other reviews ), main single player game was decent. The first half with the dog was good. it seems likely they wedged the dog in to sell the game because he's mostly absent from the second half of the game. Which honestly is the only reason I bought the game. These game companies need to stop using their main audience as beta testers and actually do real beta testing prior to it's release.
Summary: I enjoy the game, but now I realize why so many hate it. It crashes for no apparent reason. I've adjusted settings, I've updated everything. My system is less than 6 months old and still it crashes. Apparently, it's full of bugs. I got about halfway through before it crashed, so I started over and it crashed in the exact same spot. Love the game until that. Frustrating.
Summary: The SP quality of the series has long been going downhill, and this was pretty much bottom of the barrel for me. Story was utterly mediocre (Despite being crafted by Stephan Gaghan), set pieces were so-so and voice acting was merely ok. Add dull characters into the mix and you have a deeply unsatisfying effort from the IW folks.

Summary: I'm just as disappointed as the next guy with this game. But I did realize there were some out-of-the-box default settings making the graphics as bad as they were. If you go into Advanced Video Settings and turn OFF: Distortion, Motion Blur and Depth of Field it will clear up the graphics so you can actually SEE people.
Summary: EDIT: I want to amend my review upfront to say that a) the lag compensation is still horrendously bad. Every death seems to feel like the other guy has a half second advantage over you. Good luck capping a flag when there's 5 different vantage points on it, and if you get hit once you're dead with no time to shoot back b) Extinction mode is actually quite fun (not worth $60, however). Very challenging and requires a lot of good teamwork (VOIP especially).
Summary: I have played every single COD game made on PC. Ghosts is shockingly bad in comparison to every one of them. Strangely low texture graphics, poor frame rates, online lag, and an evident lack of any kind of working anticheat system. Maybe it will be patched/ fixed, but I doubt it.
Summary: I purchased Ghosts on for the PC - perhaps this was my first mistake, but I have general dislike for paying extra fees to enjoy online gaming. Put simply, I do not feel this is a bad game. Activsion and Infinity Ward put a lot of time and effort into this game, evidenced by noticeable audio and graphical improvements between BLOPS2/MW3 and Ghosts. Unfortunately, that's about where it ends.
