Summary: Neat graphics, but the whole story seems artificially scripted. Yes I know they're all scripted, but the earlier releases disguised it better. Also, they spend too much time on gimmicks like riding the dog. It's awkward and clumsy, and I just want to get past those sections and back to regular combat. I eventually got to a one point where I was manning a mounted machine gun with unlimited ammo, and mowing down opposing troops.
Summary: Very buggy ( as expected by other reviews ), main single player game was decent. The first half with the dog was good. it seems likely they wedged the dog in to sell the game because he's mostly absent from the second half of the game. Which honestly is the only reason I bought the game. These game companies need to stop using their main audience as beta testers and actually do real beta testing prior to it's release.
Summary: With all the negative reviews, I expected the game to be a dud, but for the price of the game I thought I would give it a try. I actually liked it alot. I have always considered COD games an online hackerfest, and that has always been my biggest complaint. All anti-cheat softwares have fallen on their faces to privately paid for undetectable hacks. But, atleast some progress is being made with games being run with steam hacker reporting.
Summary: I enjoy the game, but now I realize why so many hate it. It crashes for no apparent reason. I've adjusted settings, I've updated everything. My system is less than 6 months old and still it crashes. Apparently, it's full of bugs. I got about halfway through before it crashed, so I started over and it crashed in the exact same spot. Love the game until that. Frustrating.
Summary: If the game worked better I would have given it a better rating I had fun playing but between each section of game it seemed like it took forever to load and that was a bit much I was hoping that because I waited so long to order it that it would be a little more player ready maybe I will reinstall at a later time and give it another try because I think it will be worth it.
Summary: Worst COD game ever. Do not waste your money. The graphics are garbage compared to Black OpsII or even World at War. The game play was uninspiring. Clearly they just through something out to take our money and compete with the launch of Battlefield 2. Battlefield 2 is superior in every way, from size of rooms, to capabilities and player functionality, to interaction with environment and weapons load out.
Summary: Not worth the price. First, not all maps are good. Most are not. More importantly, Infinity Ward does not release the new map pack for multiplayer online play in the regular rotation for two months after the map pack is available for download. In other words, the only way to play online is a ridiculous mosh-pit special play list. So the latest/last map pack (Nemesis) which was available to seasons pass holders in early August is still not in the regular rotation.
Summary: I enjoyed this game on PS4 to some degree, but a few months ago I switched to PC & decided to buy it again thinking that I would have the same degree of fun. Well, that degree of fun WOULD still be there, if it weren't for the fact that only 2k people are online at any given time on PC! The most people online I have seen since buying this on PC was just over 3k & that's when the latest DLC came out. This is a DEAD GAME on PC! Do NOT waste your money on it.
Summary: The SP quality of the series has long been going downhill, and this was pretty much bottom of the barrel for me. Story was utterly mediocre (Despite being crafted by Stephan Gaghan), set pieces were so-so and voice acting was merely ok. Add dull characters into the mix and you have a deeply unsatisfying effort from the IW folks.
